So now that it's official, we have a bag to find some help on defense now and maybe another OL? Excited to see what Fran can make happen
I wanted him back, was hoping he'd come back, but he made the right decision. If he was the QB at Penn State they'd have beaten ND. If he was the QB at Alabama, they'd be in the CFP. He's a guy that can make passes and elevate a team.Okay, I'd like to get the board's thoughts for an article (not quoting anyone directly). Did Kyle make the right move in heading to the 2025 NFL Draft, and by extension, who do you think will be Syracuse's starting QB next season?
I think he made the right decision. He is certainly going out on a high. As far as next season, I'll go Rickie Collins. I don't expect him to be Kyle, but don't think Fran and Jeff Nixon would bring in a transfer that they didn't see something they really liked.Okay, I'd like to get the board's thoughts for an article (not quoting anyone directly). Don't count out Carney as a true frosh. He's enrolling early. Staff is VERY high on him.

Next man up:
Glad Carney / Collins will be here to participate in spring ball. Going to be an interesting off-season in the QB room.
- Williams?
- Carney?
- Collins?
- Portal QB?
If you want someone to throw back-breaking interceptions then Ewers is your guy.I don't get the Milroe hype, at all.
Cam Ward & Sanders, sure.
Ewers = not overly impressed.
Beck = injured. worth the gamble??
Dart = legit, but he's apparently trying appeal for another year?
So, they have Kyle as basically late 3rd round / early 4th range.
Does he gamble that that's his floor, or what if it's his ceiling??
Not an easy decision to make. Either way.
He’s an adult with more than enough college experience and a favorable batch of competition in the draft this year. There’s no downside to getting started with his pro career and play with/learn from the best.Okay, I'd like to get the board's thoughts for an article (not quoting anyone directly). yeah, the Giants were the first thing I thought of as well. With Watson out for the season now, there is a good chance that Cam/Sanders will be both be off the board at #3. So thinking the GMen should wait until the 2nd round (3rd pick, 35th overall), and there is a decent chance that one of these 3 will still be on the board (McCord, Dart, Milroe). Then they can sign a bridge guy like Fields or Darnold for a year while the rookie develops. So long as he goes to the Giants, I can forgive his selfishness.
I could be wrong, because this thread is 150 pages long. But I thought I read someone who I find reputable say that the NIL for Kyle was specifically going to be for Kyle. But again, I could be wrong.Maybe Kyle did Fran and us fans one last favor earlier this week. Too many people were positive the waiver was approved and then the nil wheels were turning for it to be all fake.
Im thinking that maybe Kyle saying if I come back that NIL money better be ready with the money was no matter what going to be a win for Fran. From what everyone said here the NIL was ready and it was competitive.
I hope Fran can tap that same money that would’ve been spent on Kyle to go get another portal QB or other impact players that he thinks he needs.
Sure its a little of bit of a bait and switch for the big donors but whatever. If by Kyle saying he was weighing his options and that got people to give an extra million or 2 in NIL to the program that still is a win For us peasants on this board.
Disagree on that. No matter what they think of Jakhari, they needed another QB numbers wise regardless. Jakhari has no experience and proof of what he can do, so why not bring in another good QB and have them fight it out.I agree that bringing in Rickie told me they didn't think Williams could handle the job. Could things change? Sure but I agree with how it stands now.
Did you miss the other 150 page thread?Hes going to the NFL
Dr Seuss!Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened
That’s too bad.I could be wrong, because this thread is 150 pages long. But I thought I read someone who I find reputable say that the NIL for Kyle was specifically going to be for Kyle. But again, I could be wrong.
