Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

If you look at the OSU Reddit they have a thread on which former OSU QB McCord, Ewers, and current, Will Howard will be drafted first. Safe to say our opinions differ greatly. Some think McCord won’t get drafted at all lol.

Huh?
There's a conspiracy meme saying the NFL "has script writers" and with goff playing so bad i was just making a reference to that since you called Detroit so early

Mel Kiper has McCord 7th QB.
This Mel Kiper?

if I’m a GM of an NFL team that needs a qb this year I’m throwing up in my mouth here
Could be a great scenario long term. Most bad teams need lots of pieces, right? So you draft other positions early and grab a high ceiling low risk QB later. If the QB doesn't work out, you're still drafting high next year, so you see what's available then.

A lot of it is that there isn’t generational talented QBs. But let’s be real, generational talented QB prospects don’t always pan out in the NFL. Also, plenty of QBs have great success that don’t have superpower talents. I’m sure atleast one of the QBs in this class will be a starter on a playoff team within the next two years.

I still don't get the Fullback/H-Back thing. It's all Tight Ends. But then there's also a Tight Ends top 10 list with all different tight ends.
I think it’s guys that are more optional in their alignments where some like the PSU guy are always on the line

Yeah I guess they fit the definition of an H-back. It's the fullback part that's throwing me for a loop.

He still has the issue of limited mobility and an OK not great arm.
I'll give you the limited mobility but I don't think the rest is true. OK to not great arm? He didn't throw many deep balls as we were a quick pass offense but he can sling it to the opposite sideline on a frozen rope. I'd say he has a really good arm for college and an average arm for the NFL.

So an avg NFL arm? thats not a great arm.
He gets away with throws because he throws on time. That is huge.

Thats why he needs the right system. If you have a system where throws cannot be made early that hurts him.

His best thing is that he came to a new system in yr one and got it done with WR group that no one would have said was elite. Every group in the Pros will be a step up. He built trust in all levels of throws in one off season.. Pros will like to see that

I guess it was your tone i misinterpreted a bit. It seemed very negative. I read it as, OK to not great arm; I interpreted your "not great" to be less than OK. To me, he has an NFL arm. An average NFL arm is a good arm. its not really a negative. He just doesn't have a cannon like a few of the elite NFL QB's have.

I don't think a team that has a system where the QB is to hold on to the ball for a while to let routes develop will take him. His timing and anticipation are excellent. He is great at getting the ball out and distributing it into play makers hands.

If Darnold leaves Minnesota I think that's an interesting landing spot. Seattle as well.

I find it hard to believe there'd be NFL teams that would take LQA over Sampson, Johnson, Henderson and some others. Their big play ability alone is something every team will be prioritizing over a possible 3rd down RB.

LQA is a really good football player, but he's limited with his speed and perhaps agility. If he surprises with his testing, then perhaps he could be a top 10 RB in this deep class.
