Kind of torn re McCord playing in the bowl game. On one hand I'm thrilled he is playing. I love watching him play and getting to see him in a SU uniform for one more game is an unexpected gift. I really want that tenth win and to move up or stay in the rankings. On the other hand if he was my kid I'd probably advise him to opt out, avoid injury, prepare for the draft and end with his mic drop performance against Miami.

He could buy injury insurance. He has money. Matter of fact the bowl should provide insurance for all the players.

I mean we have men playing their 7th and 8th years. Cam Rising is returning for his 9th season next year. He may have been hurt some seasons but i remember watching him like 5 years ago and thinking this guys been playing forever. The NCAA grants everything these days. We’re so due for a break.

What makes it special is that he played in no meaningful snaps. It was garbage time. Very little value was gained from playing in those minutes. As opposed to someone playing while the game is still competitive and getting hurt.

We had a player on this year’s team who lost a year of eligibility watching kickoffs sail over his head in more than four games. Does he get that year back too?

It’s not a dig, and you weren’t alone.

Probably 10% chance he’s back. But there’s a lot that looks like he and the school are at a minimum seeing if coming back is an option. His team is doing a good job of creating multiple paths.

If he somehow gets a 5th year he has a hard decision to make because there’s a good case to be made either way. He can probably match a 4th round pick salary starting here against a playoff qualifying schedule where if he does well would probably lead to at least doubling that base and more guaranteed money in the future. And also have fun and a chance at history .

He can move on get paid the same and be a back up in the league if he makes the roster. What is certain is he’s a day three pick based on all the publicly available data.

Yeah, first things first. But, Kyle really deserves a run at the Heisman if he comes back. If he comes back and we beat the hillbilly TN, then it's on...we get Gameday and Kyle is is a frontrunner.
