I will go back a bit on what I mentioned I had heard previously - if Kyle wins his appeal, he will stay. But we need to find this very soon (pre Xmas). If we don’t, we could otherwise lose out on portal targets so I assume we don’t wait forever.

If I was betting, I’d say it’s a low probability this works out in our favor given the calendar.

Yeah, relying on a recruiting timeline that doesn't exist for the bureaucrats making the decision is a bit of clutching at straws.

If they make a decision before x-mas, gr8... But I wouldn't hold my breath.

I do agree with that.

Here’s the thing tho, if the report that Ryan Day/Ohio State signed off that they mishandled his red shirt or whatever I do think it creates a bit of wiggle room.

More so than I thought existed two weeks ago when I had assumed that he got denied and didn’t have an Ohio St sign off on trying to get him his redshirt back.

Obviously still a lot of hurdles but I guess you never know

With the way the NCAA is handing out waiver's for RS it's open season. They can just say yes and nobody would think anything different of it. With that said I don't think that differs how we handle the portal situation. This is a business and Fran has to recruit like he's not coming back and "worry" about the "problem" later.

Is there any chance it was already approved, but Syracuse is only going to announce it if Kyle decides to come back and he's on the fence? That way if he goes to the NFL nobody ever knows he had an option.

I’m not certain on this. If this was done I don’t know why they would be hosting QB transfers and that’s what makes me nervous that this is a long shot but I just know the appeal was placed a long time back like JRHEETER is alluding to. I’m confirming that
