Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

I mean he is so back next year. Just announce it already lol

McCord throwing to Peña, Zeed Haynes, Ross-Simmons, Gill, Long from Rutgers now. Hopefully Ross and Hornsby take a step up.

Then Villari and Tremble at tight end.
Have a good feeling Allen is back with Nixon and Willis.

Improve the offensive line even a little and this offense will be HUMMING again.

Defensively get us a pass rush and shore up the secondary. This team could be just as good, if not better than this year. This is, well, exciting

If McCord comes back with what we already have on offense. McCord, Lequint, Nixon, Willis, Tremble, Villari, Peña, Haynes, Ross-Simmons, Gill, Long. A little improvement on the o-line.

Make a couple big splashed on the defensive side in the portal (which I think we do) and I wouldn’t be shocked if this team is preseason top 25 and we have a Top 25 matchup in the opener against Tennessee
Lequint you say? Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but is he confirmed to return?

How could they not put us in the Top 25 if most of our current Top 25 team returned?!

They’re going to steamroll wazzu and finish inside the top 20 this year. If McCord is back, you could throw me at WR and they’ll be preseason top 25. QB success is team success

Worth repeating. The NCAA has two options.

A lawsuit involving Kyle McCord, Fran Brown, Ryan Day, SU, Ohio State.

Or they can give a simple waiver for the leagues passing leader and have a huge uptick in the media hype for next year. A 22 year old kid that barely played his freshman and sophomore year. A waiver that they will prob give to any player that requests a similar waiver over the next several years.

NCAA caves to lawsuits. Not sure how one threatens a lawsuit but strongly suggest they do so. After they cave then get JB his wins back the same way.

This would be something that would only happen at Syracuse, but what happens when he gets awarded an extra year but decides to play elsewhere for huge NIL?

As a Syracuse fan, I prepare myself for worst case scenario...
You do have to wonder, in a Lex Luthor mindset, if Day is only helping out because they are preparing to offer him $10M to come back and play for tOSU.

Someone at DART party asked Kyle himself last night … “ I can neither confirm or deny the waiver story “. I know, that helps nothing but I wanted to feel like an insider !
When someone says that, it basically confirms it.

At the Congressional Hearing when asking former military whistleblowers about whether UFOs are blowing raspberries in restricted airspace, they all said the same thing.

And you know bc of the week 1 matchup with Tenn if he is coming back and they win this bowl game, I bet for eyeballs sake they rank SU very high to market the heck out of the game. A lot of people thought SU had no business getting the chick fil a game when they got it (including me) but look at what can change in 2 years

If they are smart (McCord, Fran, Wildhack - and I think they are..,) the waiver request would have come on letterhead and messaging like:
Shipman, Hennessey, & Gold, LLP
...
We are contacting you on behalf of our client and NCAA student-athlete, Kyle McCord, with the Syracuse University men's Football Program...
(and signed off by a lawyer)
I prefer the firm Dewey, Skrewem, & Howe

Send a letter, have a meeting, get on the phone. Have David Falk get on the phone.

I thought that would have been the case against Miami but we went in unranked.

Yup and McCord can get some Heisman Hype

He's coming back if he can. And folks are definitely more optimistic on that possibility than they were previously. Not sure what has happened to change the tone. I'm going to be anti bnoro on this one.
I believe the momentum is towards 5-5. I think the lawsuit injunction that was just granted to the Juco kid helps. We also don't know what the premise of the original request which was denied and the subsequent appeal which supposedly has the support of Coach Day and the Ohio State administration.
If Bees who is very much in the know reports it is 50-50 i believe him and that tells me that Fran and staff are holding off taking a commitment until they either know or they reach a certain point in time. My two cents is that if we don't get a ruling soon, they will take a kid like the one that just committed and let them know that if Kyle comes back, they will not be starting. With that said I don't believe we will see a one and done starter commit. It will be a kid with multiple years left and one that has potential but has been a backup. Which is why the LSU player makes sense.
