You said you wanted “accountability”. That is different from inquiring about the change. Maybe you misspoke. We aren’t talking about a player deciding to commit or transfer somewhere. It’s a clear cut yes, no, or haven’t heard back to the waiver getting approved by the ncaa. Those with sources said one thing and the school said another. That’s what I’m curious about, and I’m allowed to inquire on it
He gave us both of those, but they were in different years. We should've had them during the 10 win year, if not for a BS ineligible downfield call.Dungey gave us a 10 win season and win over Clemson, too. An equally great year, but in a different way.
What a clown. Didn't have him on the last one and now he's 7th.Mel kiper had McCord 7th on his qb list for the draft.

Eric DungeyOther than Melo i don't know of any athlete in the history of Syracuse University athletics that has made a greater contribution to SU.
Kyle led us to one of the greatest seasons we have had in the last 20 or more years. He has led a complete culture change within the program and has completely changed to National sports narrative of Syracuse football from a negative to one of relevance.
He has put us back on the map, back in the conversation.
All while carrying himself as the definition of leader.
As far as I'm concerned he is the single most important " Event" that I can remember at SU since Melo leading us to the National Championship. Can't wait to watch him in the NFL.
I have an irrational dislike for Will Howard because he replaced Kyle after OSU screwed Kyle.
agreed. worst case you argue fifth but even that is suspect. I dont see how Ewers has the accuracy to be that successful in the NFL. He floats a ton of passes.I suppose I am biased, but I think Kyle is at worst the 4th best QB on the board. I think Ward is better than Sanders too.
The NFL has jumped the shark with mobile QB’s at the expense of other skills. We aren’t that far away from Tom Brady dominating the league with accuracy standing like a statue.agreed. worst case you argue fifth but even that is suspect. if ewers played for a lower level team and threw like he did this year he wouldnt not even get drafted.agreed. worst case you argue fifth but even that is suspect. I dont see how Ewers has the accuracy to be that successful in the NFL. He floats a ton of passes.
Eric is near the top of my list from a pure warrior standpoint. I hope he is okay when he gets older considering all the shots he took here.Eric Dungey
I was surprised how weak his arm appeared in the playoff games and it wasn't like he was particularly accurate. I'd rather have McCord. To me Kyle's biggest weakness was his propensity to make one poor decision per game as far as taking care of the ball and throwing into coverage. That can be fixed. He throws with a zip and accuracy that Ewers can only admire.agreed. worst case you argue fifth but even that is suspect. I dont see how Ewers has the accuracy to be that successful in the NFL. He can have an elite college season or career and not be considered an elite pro-prospect. Look at the college record books. They're littered with guys that put up huge numbers but weren't pros for long, if at all. The flip side is also true. There are guys that are considered elite prospects that don't put up eye popping numbers. Look at McNabb's draft class. He was nowhere near the top in yards, TDs, completion percentage, completions, etc. But his talent was obvious.Explain to me how the all-time season passing yardage record-holder in the history of the ACC can be classified as "sub-elite"? Also, the guy rarely loses -- career 22-4 as a starter. Since you said "another", it sounds like you are comparing him with DeVito, but the reality is that Tommy was an undrafted QB from Illinois. It is apples and oranges. I am as big a Giants fan as anyone (and wouldn't riot) -- I just want the best available QB if they wait until the 2nd round. Jaxson Dart "might" be better and seems to be the trendy #3 QB at the moment based on his great bowl game and Milroe sucking in his. My hope (as a Giants fan) if Ward and Sanders are off the board is to sign Fields and draft one of the other 3 to develop (Dart, Milroe, McCord). And if you want to expand it to 5 (with Howard/Ewers) then I am fine with that. But I think it is playing with fire to try to wait until the 3rd round to take a QB. In fact, I am nervous that some of these other guys (after Ward/Sanders) could potentially sneak into the 1st round.
Detroit. Good offensive line that doesn't expect the QB to run.I was thinking about this today and I was trying to mentally find a fit for Kyle amongst the NFL teams and for some reason my brain has attached itself to the Steelers, because I feel like he has the qualities that Tomlin appreciates. I feel Fields is done in Pittsburgh. Couple that with their lack of exciting QB play, and the fact they won’t be in position for a top QB prospect, that makes them feel like a team that will invest a middle round pick in a QB this year to sit behind Wilson and go from there.
It feels like a very logical fit for Kyle with a chance to sit and learn and in the not so distant term compete for a spot.
Now that I’ve said that, he will get drafted somewhere that my brain would feel is completely illogical like the Cardinals who have a young entrenched starter who is extremely mobile and somewhat the exact opposite player Kyle is.
If you use rational thought, you should like him. If Ohio State doesn't want to bring him in to complete for the job, we don't get Kyle.I have an irrational dislike for Will Howard because he replaced Kyle after OSU screwed Kyle.
A guy who studies film like Kyle, and can pick out defensive weaknesses will play a long time in the NFL.Sanders is all hype, in my opinion, at best #5 on the list. While others may be more mobile than McCord, McCord often was successful escaping into a plus-yards situation. Obviously, pocket passers will take more sacks.
Ward, whom I like, was beaten by the SU defense, he has flaws, I like McCord over Ward.
Ewers - Hashed out above, I have nothing to add that hasn't been said by others. If he played for anyone other than a playoff team, he wouldn't be on the draft board.
Milroe and Dart have issues. Both lost when they were the dominant force. They are legitimately on the list, but I would have them with McCord and Ward in perhaps a group 1 with the four as opposed to 1-4. I think the "equalizer" approach would indicate that the team that drafts each of these four should draft them because they fit the team philosophy more so than the hypothetical prototypical NFL QB. Each has weaknesses with significant strengths.
I am not sure anyone can state that Howard was an upgrade over McCord. He wasn't special at Buckeye State (or is it THE Buckeye State U?) He is a good QB on a really good tOSU team. He gets credit for winning, but I am not convinced he was an upgrade.
Just another opinion from a fan that has Orange colored glasses.
