Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

He gave us both of those, but they were in different years. We should've had them during the 10 win year, if not for a BS ineligible downfield call.

Yes. That's why I said a 10 win year and beating Clemson. Otherwise I would have said something like "including winning against Clemson", like we would say, "a 10 win year with a victory over Top 10 Miami" about this year. I should have been more clear, you're right.

You can't discount that extrapolated for an NFL season out his attempts, yards, and completions, and TDs would have been near the top of all categories in the NFL this year.

He was put to work and showed out.

Obviously college is way different defensively than NFL.

I believe he showed he can be very capable and a future NFL starter.

A good team for for him would be Philadelphia. He could backup Hurts for two years and learn the defenses and systems. Hurts is eventually going to wear out his welcome in Philly, and McCord could come in and replace him and prove his worth.

The teams that may look at him, as a piece for the future (2-4 years down the road), that would be good fits:

Philly, Minnesota, New Orleans, Seattle, Tampa

Keep him away from the Jets, Giants, Browns, Jags, Miami, New England, Carolina

I don't think he fits Philadelphia's style. They use Hurts's legs a lot.

Detroit

I was surprised how weak his arm appeared in the playoff games and it wasn't like he was particularly accurate. I'd rather have McCord. To me Kyle's biggest weakness was his propensity to make one poor decision per game as far as taking care of the ball and throwing into coverage. That can be fixed. He throws with a zip and accuracy that Ewers can only admire.

And how an NFL team would pick a guy who can't throw like Milroe over McCord is beyond me.

The Jets say "Hold my beer.".

Well if he is ranked a top 4 QB - he is most likely going to one of those bottom tier teams.
They are desperate.
God help him if he goes to the Jets - that whole organization is one big screw up.
I don't see him going to one of your "good fit teams" unless he is still on the board in the 5th round or so.
Personally I don't think Miami would be a bad spot - TUA is not likely to be their long term qb because of concussion issues.
The symmetry with McNabb and McCord going to Philly is awesome but I don't think Hurts is going away for quite awhile.
I would love Detroit - great coach, great culture, plays in a dome - and would have the time to learn.

Detroit

Was EXACTLY the team and offensive philosophy I was thinking about. And Goff has had years in the league to learn behind and be ready to take over once.
