AD, Bryant and Sherman is a great starting trio at backer. To be blunt would be near the top of the ACC in terms of starting backers

Yes. But it can be multiple. They used 3 backers. Kehres is a really good DC. He plays to the strength of the personnel he has. That being said even if we go with a 4-2-5. Then I’ll be hard pressed to find many teams in the ACC that have a better top 3 backers than that. Not even including Tremble who will obviously get a lot of run.

Also if we are talking personnel. Our DB room is really thin right now in terms of numbers and talent. You have Samuels, Peal and Kerr coming back who will be good.

Hughes is coming in and wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s a starting safety. I think Long and Rayshon Andrew can both be good at Safety as well. Everyone else is either a year or two away or mehhhhh. So we definitely need to bring in a couple safeties in the portal and probably one more corner. But I think Geter who is the freshman coming in would be the perfect 4th corner behind Samuels, Peal and Kerr. I think Geter is a Garrett Williams clone. Minus the injuries

Hughes has a knee injury and just had surgery on it he might not be ready this year.

Could definitely use a safety transfer from the portal.

Don't forget Tremble. Hell maybe we run some 3-4 at that point and/or run AD or Tremble alternating as edge rushers.

Sherman being on the field makes everyone, but Bryant specifically, better for it. 2 sure tackling LBs inside the tackles would solve many woes that we couldn't do with only 1.
