is the mosy overrated p;ayer in nba hisyoty/ he cant stay with anybody

Time to go to sleep.
I don't like Lebron James because I feel he is so coddled, but he is the best all-around NBA player to play since Michael Jordan. He has won 3 MVPs, won 2 NBA titles, he has played in 2 other NBA Finals, has won 2 Gold Medals for his country, and is unbelievable defender. He is not overrated he is carrying a severely flawed Miami Heat team which has a big guy Chris Bosh who plays beyond soft against the Indiana Pacers, Dwayne Wade's knees are starting to end his career as a dominant player, Ray Allen is old and can probably play well 2 games in a 7 game series, the rest of the team are all role players Lebron has made better than they are.

This statement is dumb as Elvin Hayes, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing are more overrated than LBJ and I don't like LBJ.

He's a flopper and that bugs me.

He is very good and doesn't need to resort to that.

And Jerami Grant is going to have a career of a number 1 pick. Kgui

i've had 5 jameos, i'm gonna sit this one out. igor is such a naughty little troller, i'm not going for the bait.

Love the next play after he 'sells it' on the hard foul (thus retaining his king of the floppers title) where he "gets the rip", which in actual basketball terms means he never touched the ball until well after grabbing at least one, if not both, of George's arms, being credited with the steal, and getting a layup on the other end. And of course no foul called. Ref was out of position (maybe intentionally) but he should have seen that foul, especially considering they are playing in Indy. That was a TERRIBLE no call, and one I think had a direct affect on the outcome of the game. Huge turning point. Indy choked that one away, but they got no help from the refs.

pretty much everyone in the league flops. it kinda sucks.

While this is true, it's ridiculous that the best athlete and overall face of the league, who is also built like a big linebacker, does it as frequently as he does. He should be better than that. Tougher.

...you mean like at the end of the game when Wade threw it out of bounds while attempting to inbound the ball to Allen who was being bear-hugged by Butler DIRECTLY in front of the ref, thus giving the ball back to Indy with a chance, albeit small, to extend the game?

No. I'm talking about Lebron James getting away with murder because he's the biggest name in the NBA. Guys hug all the time on out of bounds plays. Hell, Wade wouldn't have been in the game still at the end of the game if he was still playing college ball because of that knee to the head he gave George. Yeah, I think he put a little extra into it.

They need to stop rewarding it and people will stop doing it.

You can also make the argument that since he is so strong he sometimes needs to embellish contact in order to get refs to blow the whistle, since he can take a lot of hits that don't really affect him.

But you're not gonna have me arguing in favor of flopping. It sucks. The one Lance dropped last night was a classic.

LOL.

Seriously...LOL.

Speaking of the Wade knee, not sure it was intentional, but George said he blacked out or something. Pretty scary stuff.

If the hits don't affect him, then they probably aren't fouls in the first place.

I know it's not rational - my disdain of James. I just don't like him. And I really wish the league would suspend him.

I don't really buy that; you shouldn't have to take more hits to draw a foul because you're stronger. A foul is a foul.

Just looked at the NBA definition of a foul (I always remember a foul as being contact that affects the outcome of the play and that's why I made the comment about the foul above).

a. A player shall not hold, push, charge into, impede the progress of an oppo-nent by extending a hand, forearm, leg or knee or by bending the body into a posi-tion that is not normal. Contact that results in the re-routing of an opponent is a foul which must be called immediately.

Isn't that every play in every NBA game? Especially the first part?

So you admit it's not rational. All I needed to hear.

Of course he's the best player in the game, but I would expect more from him for all the accolades.

I loved the play last night where he drove the lane and threw the ball out of bounds behind him and was pissed at his teammate for not getting into what could only be considered the least likely spot to get the ball on a pass (nearly behind James instead of off to the side where he was already set up and ready to shoot the 3). Screaming and crying like someone popped his pretty balloon.

And I simply don't understand why the Pacers crash three guys on James driving to the hoop and leaving the 3 point shooters wide open for an easy three. Unless you are covering Birdman or Wade, stay on your guy and let James drive.
