How the hell is the DA going to find a jury, if Sandusky goes to trial, that isn't made up of rabid PSU fans?

They'll get a bunch of out of state people to serve on the jury, they'll just happen to have played football at psu but they will be out of state.

It's a good question and hopefully they won't have a home crowd in the jury for this trial.

Rabid Nittany fans are going to hang these guys. Here in PA there is almost non existent support for any of the culprits for a multitude of reasons.

Don't be mislead by drunk students in the streets, kids on message boards, or a packed stadium. The press , adult fans, all want justice to be done. Alumni want a swift sword in hearts of all of the perps without mercy.

It is not about football. It is about the crimes, the kids, and the damage to the Universities reputation. It is going to be difficult to find a jury not biased in favor of maximum penalties for any of them. People here are pissed beyond belief for the right reasons. Don't think otherwise.

I don't doubt people in pa are angry and no one should assume that all pa residents think and are are the same. I'd like to see the wrong doers punished but I'd also like to see a thorough investigation and not a hurried by the ones with torches to burn the obvious guilty to just get it over with.

Hold the trial in Pittsburgh.

I think it will be difficult (but not impossible) to find a jury that avoids both supporting him blindly as PSU supporters AND people who are already convinced of Sandusky's guilt before hearing any evidence.

This isn't at all the right reason, but thought it was interesting. I was at a conference in New Orleans this past weekend, and headed out to the French Quarter to hang out/drink/watch some street performers. Several of them worked some kind of Penn State joke into their routines. Then I heard even more Penn State jokes at the conference. Nationally Penn State has gone from a highly regarded school with integrity, to a school that is reviled and a punch line to jokes. While I do think Penn State can recover from this, their national reputation and brand has been damaged badly, and will never be repaired completely.
