I wonder if there is chatter about a rules change. It IS an absurd rule.

Agreed. If a team wins their conference tournament, how can you say they are not good enough to play in the NCAA tournament which gives the conference champ an automatic bid?

The FDU team that took down 1 seed Purdue lost their conference tourney to a new D1 team in Merrimack. Its a horrible rule at least they are shortening it.

If there needs to be a rule for this, it should be one year max. Anything else is just totally over the top and unnecessary.

If Le Moyne meets certain criteria the school's athletic teams could compete in NCAA championships in 2026-27.

Which team from Syracuse will make the NCAAT first? I'm legitimately not sure.
3 years is still too long. If they are good enough (e.g. win their conference championship tournament), they should be able to participate in post-season. Wild finish over at Le Moyne this afternoon. Long 3 to tie by St. Francis, then an incredible long inbounds pass to Syracuse native (and fellow Bishop Grimes Cobra grad) Deng Garang for the finish through contact with 0.6 seconds left. Then, St. Francis almost wins it at the buzzer with a ridiculous three point attempt. There were 15 points scored in the final 27 seconds of this game. Crazy.
