Reading the Syr.Com article this morning made me feel terrible. I can only imagine how those involved feel.I’m even more outraged these people must be stupid

Inside the punch and punishment that put LeQuint Allen’s Syracuse season in jeopardy
Court documents reviewed by syracuse.com show a more complete picture of the incident and process that resulted in Allen’s suspension.www.syracuse.com
Chestnut’s another rabbit hole, but he didn’t just leave because of nil.Great article in the PS today. Lots of detail. It makes the University look bad. Allen is the only person in this case that makes any sense. This is an embarrassment for the University. If they don’t come to a settlement before the court date, they are out of their minds. I’m starting to wonder if this incident had anything to do with Chestnut going into the portal. For any student to be treated this way is just plain wrong.
WT , SU is a total clown show. The all student board and appeals committee is nuts.
Not only that, it sounds like the aggressor and others went to LA's place and assaulted another there? Or did I misread that? Here’s the money quote
Any such process that does not consider self defense and punishes the person who defended himself while not punishing the initial aggressor seems arbitrary and woefully insufficient.
WTAF???!!!!
Can anybody tell us WHY the aggressor has NOT been charged??
That is utterly insane.
Everybody has a right to self-defense.
Even football players.
This gets worse and worse for the University by the minute.
I like McAllister but man that article should have just said - "hey go read syracuse.com".
or have never been to a party in their entire life.Punished for not calling the cops? This has to be a joke. Telling you, some people just have it out for athletes when they have the chance
Absolutely .There are administrator egos and reputations to protect here.I'm worried pride and ego will override common sense if push comes to shove and this gets upheld.

And what happened to the other student?
Permanent expulsion?
Gun charges?
Or did OCS give him milk and cookies and read him a bed time story?
This is a bad lesson to teach students as this is not how real life works...idiots.Allen explained he acted in self-defense but was told the university can not take into account the actions of another student, Allen wrote in an affidavit.
SU should be embarrassed. So if a fellow student stabs someone that person should sit back and take it or just try and run to call campus safety? Who the hell signed off on this??
Wow here is more what goes on:
Syracuse punishes student for asking man at party if he’s a Canadian sex offender
She’d heard rumors that the guy at the party had a history of problematic behavior toward women. So Syracuse University freshman Samantha Jones went right up to him and asked: Was he a registered sex offender?www.thefire.org
Sounds more and more like the kind of case FIRE would take. But lawsuits take time. Kid needs a decision NOW.Allen explained he acted in self-defense but was told the university can not take into account the actions of another student, Allen wrote in an affidavit.
