A lot of time it's students
Fellow students are handing out suspensions? Seems untenable if anyone sues over it.
A lot of time it's students
DC would still be serving his suspension at that rate. One punch, two SEMESTER suspension. Get out of here
That's what happened to me in college. Had a similar incident and had to go in front of the school “board” which consisted of fellow students. They heard the case and handed out a punishment (A very unfair one at that). Not saying I know that's the case here, but there how it's handled at a lot of schoolsFellow students are handing out suspensions? Seems untenable if anyone sues over it.
When I represented some athletes (and other students, as well) through that “process”, it was a joke. Shortly after I got one decision tossed, they changed the rules so that the accused could not have an attorney present. The judge granted a temporary injunction until July 12th. On that date the court could keep the injunction in place and continue the matter for a formal proceeding. This seems it could continue multiple times with the injunction in place. Possible continue until past November unless the school and laquint can come up with a settlement.
The other possibility the court rules LaQuint received due process, lift the injunction and dismiss the case. In that situation the suspension would stand.
No. The schools can have a process. They usually don’t follow it very well, however.Fellow students are handing out suspensions? Seems untenable if anyone sues over it.
Staying out of it, as he should.Where is the AD on this one?
Seems weird.they changed the rules so that the accused could not have an attorney present.
Aren’t they making that legal in this country?Devo walked in to a room and exposed himself. What punishment would you want if that was your daughter?
My cousin threw a recruit (he was hosting mind you) into a plate glass window at a bar on marshall street because he talked to my cousin‘ girlfriend. Nothing happens except we didn’t get the signingI think we had fights every weekend in the old days. Other fraternities, the hockey team, the Rugby team. It was a rite of passage .
People these days are brainwashed to believe life is easy and any form of physical altercation deems you a terrorist. ( there, that’s my grumpy old man quote for the day).Yeah something is definitely weird here if it was a fight in true retaliation to be suspended the whole year. Very strange imo.
I’d like to believe that his high school teammate had an idea of what was going on behind the scenes in lieu of what’s going on here.I would also like to point out Allen is from NJ. We just got a commit from his HS teammate. Cannot help our cause in any way.
Was it Chris Herren? My cousin threw a recruit (he was hosting mind you) into a plate glass window at a bar on marshall street because he talked to my cousin‘ girlfriend. Nothing happens except we didn’t get the signing
Agreed. There is likely more to the story than is being reported.I'm trying to stay calm. But before we, including me, go off the deep end, we really need to know more about what happened here. It is possible that this is justified. More information will tell us. And we may get that if this goes to court.

I don’t remember the recruit. It was around 85-86. I didn’t get on campus until 87Was it Chris Herren?
