LeQuint Allen to NFL Draft

Seems to be shooting up draft boards. Rated 2 Running on Kipers BigBoard and I've seen him listed a day two pick and many saying he is an adequate starter for the NFL
Cool. That's higher than I thought he'd be, but I've been wrong about him before.

I absolutely love LeQuint and his attitude. Like everyone here I hope he hoes earlier, great paid, has a great career. Ine thing that surprised me was on a flight to Atlanta 2 weeks ago tomorrow I am 99.999999% sure I saw him on my flight and I was surprised how normal he looked.

I didn't expect tall bit I thought he was more jacked. it could have been the clothes or maybe it wasn't him and if that is a case I found his doppelganger.

Then I thought of I had seen Bruce Lee walk by me I would not have thought he was badass and the toughest mofo to ever be, that is until he curb stomped me without even stopping read the paper.

No real point here other than even though I firmly believe people don't think people don't come any tougher or determined than LeQuint I expected him to be thicker. Whereever he and thebother fellas end up will be my new favorite teams.

I don't think he's a third down back, which is why he is probably rated that high.

He's a three-down back, who happens to catch exceedingly well. So on a team with an established RB, he could certainly function as a third-down back, due to his superior receiving skills.

But he's a tougher runner than some give him credit for, as evidenced by numerous plays he made this year.

I 100% acknowledge that no NFL prospect is a sure thing, and maybe I'm wrong. But I think that rating is based upon him being such an exceptional receiver ON TOP OF being a tough runner.

I'd add maybe a 4 down back as many are going for it nowadays. Also, he doesn't fumble which hurts a lot of young NFL RB's.

Might be the best pass catching and pass blocking RB in the draft. Instinctively he got so much better as a runner by the end of the year. His highlight tape is going to be ridiculous. Speed will hurt him but the way 2-3 RB’s are trending in the NFL you don’t need to be a burner nowadays to have a ton of success.

Watching Buffalo screw up another game they need Allen, someone who can block, pick up short yardage, and catch passes on 3rd down. The 3 running backs they have aren't good enough.
When your QB is your short yardage back you have a big problem.

That looked like more of an oline thing than a RB thing. Look at how many times they got stuffed on their "tush push." Cook needed the ball more. It seemed like everytime he had a good run they took him out. He averaged 6.5 ypc and they gave him the ball 13 times. That's dumb.

Name someone you’d rather have on third down or at the goal line

No one

Saquan Barkley.

And for the current college crop of RB’s zero disrespect to LQA -

Cam Skattebo.

Now, I love me some LeQuint - which is French for “the Quint” -
but this mythology about him being some all-timer RB talent is waaaaay over the top.

Was speaking more in reference to rb’s in the draft, should have made that clear.

Think he has a cased to be made, based on merit, against anyone in the draft reliability wise

I mean when you look at his speed and agility. Leaves a bit to be desired. But when you look at his stats and if he gets the job done…he does it all. He’s one of the toughest players, great pass catching back, great blocking back, great heart and high IQ. The only thing really holding him back to be a top back in the league is his speed to get around the corner and a one cut move to make the first guy miss. Other than that, he’s everything you want and more

Skattebo 1a
Quint 1b

Skattebo gets a slight edge as he is bigger but Quint has a bigger heart

I truly think Quint is better. Time will tell but i don't see Skattebo lasting long he is too much of a contact type runner, not very smooth.

Skattebo gives off major Peyton Hillis vibes. Could see him having a lightning in the bottle type season but ultimately being an ineffective NFL RB
Agreed. I don't see his game transitioning to the next level.
