LeQuint Allen to NFL Draft

Rode up in the elevator last night with some of his family. I would not ask about next year, but told them how much I admired, and appreciated that he stood with SU through all of his drama and stayed with the school, and as a fan how much it meant to me that he was able to resolve the issue and stay at SU.

Great way to handle that social situation.

Well said. Running backs only have so many miles on the odometer. He should go if he can, even though I'd love for him to stay. I also think Yashin is going to be an absolute mauler. We're good at RB.
I do have to say we will miss his receiving skills. He has a knack for getting open and bailing the qb out. And he catches the ball.

We asked him and he said he hasn’t decided yet. I still assume he’s gone. He’s a great guy. Awesome with all the little fans at every opportunity.

He is one of those guy that has an iron will to succeed. He will make a great life for himself. If he does come back he will finish in the top 5 all-time for a lot offensive categories at Cuse.

I imagine he'd look at running straight into Butkus as something Butkus wouldn't like, after the fact... Big respect here for LeQuint.

I wish him well and am grateful for his contributions to Syracuse. He seems like a workhorse and a great person.

I could be completely off base but I don't see Lequint as a productive NFL running back.

Will be interesting. I don’t see him in the nfl. If he can get some big $$ nil style, then he should come back. Otherwise, chase your dream young man.

I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't get a chance and wouldn't be surprised at all if he sticks as a third down back

I just want to echo that part about little fans.

Lequint is EXTREMELY good with the young kids. If tonight is the last night I see Lequint play at Syracuse I’ll be sad, but I will be incredibly grateful for his time here and will root hard for him, where ever he ends up.

Allen doesn’t have a lot of wiggle but he does have great hands, can block well, and is a tough runner. I think he’s got at least several years as a special teams guy, if not more. I also wouldn’t be shocked if he switched to WR, which several RBs with his skill set have done in the NFL to varying degrees.

No can As long as we make the extra points - or go for two and make them all.

No can defend.

Mr. Allen is going to be a personal all time favorite but if he decides to run it back he is going to go down as one of the best Syracuse Football running backs, if not overall players, ever.

If LeQuint comes back, and stays healthy, he would likely finish top 3 in career rushing yards and top 4 in career receptions. That is absolutely bonkers. Would that be good enough to get his jersey in the rafters?

I have already accepted that he is gone but maaaaaaan I would kill to have him back. The definition of a "dog" and a kid who stayed with Syracuse through thick and thin. Fingers crossed he decides to give us 12 more months in Orange.
