When I was a kid, (early 60's) I was fascinated by team nicknames and none intrigued me more than Lions vs. Bears!
The Giants weren't allowed to play the Titans.
The Cowboys vs. the Redskins or the Colts or the 49ers would make a good western. Too bad they couldn't play the Broncos or the Chiefs.
The Rams and the Vikings could lock horns.
The patriots might be able to fight off the Raiders.
I didn't think the Cardinals vs. the Eagles would be much of a contest.
And I wasn't sure what a Brown or a Bill or a Packer or a Steeler or an Oiler or a Charger was.
But there was nothing like the Lions vs. the Bears for pure imagery.
