LSU fan here...Never too early to start planning!

Not sure if anyone else has said this yet, but if you've never been before, I'd highly recommend bringing your passport and checking out the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls.

And on your way back to Syracuse from the Falls, stop in Rochester and try a garbage plate!

If you have any questions regarding the Falls or anything, I can probably help you out with that. I absolutely love that area.

Hello all. I come in peace! It's over a year away but I'm already getting excited about making the trip up to Syracuse next football season. I'm basically just looking for any tips you guys can provide to make our trip more enjoyable. There's a good chance we are going to make a week long trip either on the front end or back end of the game weekend. So I'm just looking for advice on things like:

Hotels to stay
Restaurants to eat at
Things to do during the week leading up to or after the game. Either in Syracuse or within a couple of hours.
Do I need to rent a car? How's public transportation in the area?

Basically any advice you can give.

Thanks and good luck to you guys this season!

lsubengal, seeing a game in Death Valley is on my bucket list. I'm so intrigued by your tailgating scene and all the unique Cajun cuisine that isn't found anywhere else. I really hope to make it down there.

Yeah I was shocked at how much color there was when I was up there the weekend before labor day weekend.

If we were on $100,000 Pyramid I would guess, "what are things the owner of the Atlanta Hawks would say."

Armory Square could throw a Laisez Les Bon Temps Rouler week to make the LSU people feel welcome , could become a long term scheduling agreement option.

Go to Kitty Hoynes and order the Irish Cannon balls appetizer. I promise you won't regret it. Along with the fine lagers available there. ( Armory downtown )

I remember going to that place on field trips as a kid and trying to say things to get the actors/recreationists to laugh, break character, etc.
Glad I'm not the only one. I never succeeded, they had already heard it all.
