LSU guess we took a lot out of them

Well, well, well – bit in the ass by little, big Troy. Think Ed is on the HOT SEAT?? His overall record as a head coach is 25 – 31. IMO, he’ll be fired before the season ends!

LSU paid Troy $985K to beat them on homecoming, burn them on Twitter

Troy walked into Death Valley and showed no fear, stunning LSU, 24-21, on homecoming. The final score didn't quite reflect how thoroughly the Trojans pushed the Tigers around. LSU mounted a late fourth-quarter rally after falling behind 24-7.

LSU has some problems to address and questions to answer. The most obvious one? Is Ed Orgeron the guy, long-term, and if not, why was he hired in the first place. And what about that $12 million buyout?

Troy rubbed some salt in some very fresh wounds by thanking the vanquished home team for the hospitality.

Oh yeah, it was also the biggest paycheck loss of the year, clocking in at just a shade under $1 million.

Other than that, though, it was a fine night in Baton Rouge.
Be happy to hire him as DC if he gets canned.

I dont Troy really pushed LSU around.. they had 130 yds rushing except for one 75 yd dive play that just brok thru the a hole.. and 150 passing. They only had 2 drives other than that 1 play and a short field after a Turnober.

so they avg 3 yds a carry for almost the whole game..

LSY slept walked for sure until late.

I suppose it's better than when we come out sleeping and get pushed down the stairs before we wake up...

Gonna pay him AND Les Miles around 24 million combined to NOT coach? I don't know.

I mentioned in an earlier post last week that EO may be gone sooner than later. Perhaps we helped advance this meeting. Here’s more evidence things are slightly unsettled in Tiger land:

LSU AD had ‘gut check’ meeting with Ed Orgeron, top assistants

Following LSU’s embarrassing loss during homecoming weekend to Sun Belt’s Troy Trojans, Ed Orgeron and his top assistants were visited by the school’s athletic director.

According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Joe Alleva met with the coaches to discuss “accountability,” among other things. According to Dellenger’s sources, they left the meeting, which was held in Orgeron’s office, “in agreement on the direction of the program.”

“It was a gut check meeting,” the source said. “It was more that guys need to look each other in the eye and tell each other how it is.”

According to Dellenger, the meeting centered around the team’s offense. Players said after the Troy game that they played two different offenses, using offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s offense in the second half after going with a scheme like the one Steve Ensminger ran last year during the first half.

The meeting was confirmed by Orgeron himself during a conference all Wednesday, per Dellenger.

“I think the reason why Joe wanted to do it and I wanted to do it is because we’re not playing very well,” Orgeron said. “We all know that. We wanted to see what we could correct, and we threw everything out on the table. I thought it was very positive.”

“Laid out everything on the table. What direction we’re going to go, how can we fix it. It’s been a very positive week. Joe and I meet all of the time. We said, ‘Let’s bring in the coordinator,’ both he and I. ‘Let’s talk to them, see what’s going on.’

“We feel like we have two very good coordinators. He wanted to know what was going on, what we could do better. We all got on the same page. Very positive.”

The Tigers better have things figured out. They are on the road this Saturday for a date with the Florida Gators at The Swamp. LSU’s offense has been stuck in a rut since being destroyed by Mississippi State three weeks ago. Florida’s defense won’t make things any easier, so this is the wrong week to be struggling with any sense of direction.

If the Tigers get embarrassed again on Saturday, we’re betting another meeting will take place. And this time around, it might not all be so positive.

Wow, they ran 2 different offenses in one game? No wonder they lost. That's crazy.

Orgeron and McAdoo should run for office together when they are not HCs in the near future...

Hot mess would be an understatement for LSU, never should have put Coach O in charge last year because it created this grass roots swell for the local guy, that was the first mistake.

Too bad they won't give Eddie any time to get it going as they have a very good OC and they need the players to fit his system. This is the bad thing about being a high salary school, they will have no patience what so ever until they find that lightning in a bottle or pay for a guy like Saban/Kelly.
