LSU is not good.

But beating bad teams by a lot is what good teams do.
They were 4-2 coming into our game, and 22-12 last year, making the NCAA Tournament, neither of which we did, unless I'm more gone than I realized.

Red deserves some credit. Tighter rotations, the guys played with more energy for extended periods of time, and the offense looked like it had more purpose. Only complaint is we can't ever have both Chris Bell and Justin Taylor out of the game together. LSU went on a run in the first half when both were out because the offense stalled big time.

Also, shoutout Naheem for a really really solid first half. Completely took Will Baker out of the game early which was huge. If he can give us those minutes more consistently, we're a much better team. Nice dominating win!

Yes, LSU was spectacularly bad in the 2nd half. This was still progress. We need to get Starling sorted out ASAP. The athleticism is there, the ability to penetrate is there but it is not translating to consistent offense. If he can find his place we can become a pretty good offense

I think they want Benny to start at the 4. We got destroyed on the boards in the 1H and quite frankly probably should have given up at least 10 more points

Taylor with 5 assists somehow
Ball movement was good all night from everyone I thought. They also kept Judah off the ball. Red has definitely made some adjustments.

One of the best things all night was with about 7min left in the 2H, they showed Red yelling “stop talking and get the F back on defense” - not sure who it was directed to but it was good to see that Red is definitely on top of these guys

Bell looks great when he’s shooting like that BUT he needs to be told that chucking early in the shot clock is unnecessary. He’s much more effective and a team player when he fakes and gets the defense out of position… which in turn creates opportunities for good ball movement.

Best game Judah has played at SU. Dominated this one.

Some great ball movement at times in the second half. That’s good basketball. Got sloppy a few possessions in a row but game was in hand, luckily.

Brown being active is extremely important for this team. Elite hands.

Team needs at least 4+ threes per game between Taylor and Bell (8 tonight).

McLeod played very well in his minutes. Still would like a couple more rebounds overall, but he’s definitely disruptive at the rim.
Agree -- the ball movement was excellent tonight. There was one possession in particular that must have had 5-6 passes and ended with a Taylor three in the corner in front of SU bench. In general, the team was pretty unselfish, except for the one drive by JJ in first half when he should have dished it to an open Mintz on his left. There was a play late in the game where Mintz passed on what looked like an open three to try to get Benny involved -- Benny took a three instead (missed that one but hit the next one).

Agreed, and we should beat UVA by 5-10 points Saturday the way they’ve played this year.
100%. Need to do everything we can to negate the impact Bennett can have on the game. We have the athletes and talent to press and run every chance we get to do that.

Very interested to see what Red's plan is.
