Luke Carney

With all due respect, and I mean it sincerely, where is the proof that we stand a better chance of winning with Luke Carney?
I have not studied LC's past performances and I have not seen enough of his play at SU to make any type of reasonable conclusion.
I stand with the thought that if FB saw anything like another Steve Angeli in LC, he would be in by now.
You are missing the point, most people have seen what Collins is and it is not good. We will not win with him. There are no guarantees that we have a QB capable of the jump up, however a chance is better than what we are seeing. If we are going to lose we should lose developing other options, with the chance one of those will surprise everyone, it has happened before.
After two and a quarter of bad performance what makes you think Collins is the better option?

The Pitt QB threw two picks in the 2nd quarter but played well all things considered.
It's not necessarily about being mistake free. It's about making plays. If a young guy can make plays and be composed, you take the bad with the good.

Putting everything together and balancing all the intricacies, I personally would start Collins against Pitt. Give him the first half. If he stinks up the joint you come out fresh with Carney to start the second half. That way Pitt won't have half time to make adjustments for new QB. Could potentially catch them off guard and gain an advantage that way
If Rickie starts against Pitt, the game will be over by the half. I hope for SU 's sake I'm wrong.

What I think is immaterial but what HCFB thinks is the key. Does he know something we
don’t, did he make a promise he intends to keep no matter what the end result may be?
Look, I’m not against making a change cause you never know until you know and I never said we should start Collins.

Problem with this is if the hole is dug too deep in the first half.
The problem with that is Carney doesn't get 2 weeks of 1st team snaps. I'm 99% that wouldn't be the strategy and if it is i'd be very questionable of it.
