The problem with the dislike button, besides that it reduces the likes of the poster it is directed to, is whether it means you dislike the substance of the post, or that the poster posted it.
Every dislike is me disliking someone’s comment not them as a person. It’s never serious.

EDIT: not even disliking them as a poster either, I enjoy everyone as a poster here for the most part besides maybe a couple guys who are just negative for th sake of being negative. Which I don’t like.

You've built a rep, real or imagined, after less than 2 months as a member. Not easy to do. Maybe take another day or two to get a better feel of the group?

Building a rep for dropping red dislikes isn’t anything to lose sleep over, I’m here to discuss Syracuse sports with everyone and especially the people who enjoy my posts, as I have already had multiple direct messages from people who have been here since 2011 telling me I have done a good job.

If you aren’t one of those people then it’s not a big deal, I couldn’t care less.
This has to be a CuseHulk burner account

As a friendly FYI, the dislike button removes likes from the person who gets the dislike and is considered very aggressive. There are a few exceptions, but is generally only used if someone posts something you consider rude or disrespectful.

If someone doesn’t like the substance of what someone posts, usually they would quote them and make a comment or just move past the post. It’s not like other sites where the thumbs down means simply disagreeing.

I didn’t know that I thought it added to the reaction total since it counts as a reaction. I won’t be using the dislike button ever again. People are painting me to be some bad guy / A-hole for using it. I am neither.

I see, well I figured people would know that I am simply disagreeing. If the dislike buttons reputation here is aggressive and feels like I am attacking the poster I won’t use it again.

Unless someone REALLY deserves it, of course! LOL

p.s. The reason people refer to it as a "red stiletto" is because there was a glitch for a while where half the emoji was cut off and it literally looked like a woman's red stiletto heel.

Good one, donniesyracuse . LOL. But don't do it again or it will be war! ;)

Just been taking a little break for the last few days I’ve posted maybe twice a day. The football negativity has been really weighing me down. Don’t have much to say really. Carney needs to get a look, Collins is horrible, our season is basically over unfortunately. Waiting for basketball season to kick into gear
Seems you have a lot to say and just keep saying it and keep disliking anything else all that you dont like, and any else can do so to... I'm use to it myself.
