Throughout the various events I've been able to participate in, I continue to stand in awe of the standard set and met by SyracuseFan tailgate performances. You guys are great. Mark, you won the game by setting the stage with a large group of collocated SU fans that got loud on occasion. The tailgate you set up worked great, too. There was a lot of good food and drink and somewhere around 150 tailgaters at any one time. SU was well represented in 4B so we had a lot of cross traffic as well.

It was a good chill day for football. Maryland fans got loud on 3rd downs and tried to be supportive but 10-0 at the half made SU fans louder and Maryland fans quieter. SU was well represented and by the end of the 3rd quarter were in the majority. The team made a lot of errors and penalties but played through them. They played hard right from the beginning with the defense making enough plays to throw off Maryland's groove. They get the game ball.

We did have name tags and it was nice. I met a lot of board members and was able to put faces with names. Thanks to whoever brought them. I think it worked well. Even St. Tristan was tagged in effigy. Tomcat was the senior official in attendance, though I met Barb Boeheim which for me was a real treat. Thank you all for making the day memorable.

Yes, many thanks are in order for my first experiences in tailgating, and a fine mess tail gate in particular. I much enjoyed meeting people for the first time that I have read posts from for years. Texan mark, thanks for arranging this. Myself, my father & Ms. Prodigy had a blast!

Thanks again Don for swapping seats. It was a memorable day for me and my family who gathered from different directions to cheer on our favorite team. Thanks also to Jeepers for making the effort to get me the extra ticket.

Major gratitude to Mark and all those who helped make the tailgate happen (I won't mention names for fear I would leave someone out who made a major contribution). It was my first board tailgate and it was great meeting so many posters. The food was excellent and everyone was so welcoming. Glad that Isaiah Johnson's dad stopped by too. My wife continues to be amazed at the passion shown by SU fans, and after being at the tailgate my obsession seems a little less abnormal to her.

Had a blast @ my first ever Fine Mess Tailgate. Was a pleasure meeting everyone and tailgating in perfect football weather. The beatdown of MD was icing on the cake. Can't wait to attend more FB and BB roadies in the near future.

To put it in perspective, this was the best away game tailgate I can remember since the Auburn game several years ago when the Syracuse contingent flew in and rented two motor homes and JarHeadJim brought contraband steaks from a commissary somewhere, to remain nameless, in GA.

Wish I could've been there...thanks to all who stepped up to carry this off without a hitch.

I'm looking forward to more away tailgates in the future. We should know next season's roadie tailgates in late Jan.
