Texas has been rotating 5-6 Dlineman per game, lots of time for him to get in the game.

Texas plays a lot of DT's. What I do think is that if Watson is not getting the snaps he might take his hefty one year check and return to Cuse. Could be a Duce redux.

Watching him last year, I think his best chance for the NFL is to be a pure nose tackle in a 3/4. He is explosive and a good bull rusher but his lateral quickness and agility is not very good at all. I think about Bromley when he was a freshman how explosive he was too, but probably a better athlete, and it was hard for him to stick.

I understand this is orange tinted hopeful speculation but the idea he transfers back seems delusional. I think we all want underclassmen talent to stay and become stars here and I imagine Fran gets a few to stay ie Gadsen. I hope the ones that do leave amicably like Watson kill it on the big stage (until we are on the big stage too) and we get a shout out and credit for his success. Let's say Watson makes the NFL after Texas. Hope he comes back to Cuse like other former NFLers and respects the spot he came from, donates to the program, runs a camp, etc.
