Marlowe Wax Injury

To me, it looked like a bad sprain. It wasn't one of those "Don't look at the replay because it's ugly" injuries, where something was obviously broken, at least in my view. But I'm not a doctor.

No destination has said from what he heard regarding Marlowe is not great…sounds like Fran’s hoping it’s a few weeks but could be a lot longer if not all season

So how we feeling about pornstache carrying the load in his absence? He has good size but seems to lack the speed that we need in this scheme.

The team will be fine but leadership takes a hit. I hope hes ok for his sake. He deserves to flourish this year, win and get drafted.

It could be a sprain but I didn’t see a high ankle sprain on the replay. It looked like he turned an ankle a bit on the play but that was his other ankle that was fine. I was thinking maybe it’s a broken foot by some friendly fur by an SU D-lineman. Really sucks both for SU and for Wax.

They were not playing well other than the red zone when he was in the game

They had bent but didn’t break to that point, gave up the 6 points and maybe half their yardage after he went out. I’ll have to crunch the numbers, but he went out early 3rd Q no?

Syracuse was pulling away until he left the game.

We will see if they put someone else in but Fran said Heard was pushing Wax for game time. We will see I guess.

I was sitting right behind the bench when he came off and he just sat there with helmet on. A woman, (trainer I assume) was consoling him holding his helmet and talking to him in what felt like a fairly emotional moment. A minute later he was crutching off, helmet still on and seemed to be crying.
I’m no Dr but it doesn’t look good to me.

Ironically I AM staying at a Holiday Inn Express tonight.

I didn’t see a sprain? His ankle would have turned over at some point, which didn’t happen. Just by looking at the play, his reaction, i’m guessing torn achilles.

That's what my guess is as well... Hope I'm wrong

This is what I believe. He stopped just before he went in for the sack. And then couldn’t put any weight on that foot. He had the same reaction most do when they tear Achilles.
