so who was wearing 70 in the game then? or do i have the numbers wrong?yeah bro, no, Enrique didnt see a play against ncst. He messed up with a chance at the last home game and don't think he's played since
Didn’t play a down.the nc st game
That wasn't the only issue for Grant unfortunately. Scroll to 3:08 - the NCSt TD. The previous play Bailey had hit Concepcion over Duce for a big gain. Concepcion is good and Duce at least tried, throw was right in the basket so tip your hat on that one. But the next play is a classic "do your job" mistake by (i think) Grant. It's diagrammed in the highlights. There's an outside WR running a sideline route (covered by a corner), an inside WR running underneath (covered by McDonald). And there's a slot guy who runs right at Grant, who inexplicably ignores him and bites on the underneath route that McDonald is covering. Grant's guy (Joly) waltz’s into the end zone alone for a TD. Grant has size and ability .. best utilized at an OLB/rover type position IMHO. But he's making some mental errors that need correction. What's worse is Grant stopped running in pursuit. Thankfully Duce didn't.
Next time we score to go up by 3 scores in the 4th quarter, I'm just going to bed. Even if it's a noon game.
You have the numbers wrong. Spoon and Washington started. Wohlabaugh got a few snaps at G with Petry moving out to T. So 57, 77 and 72 at tackle.so who was wearing 70 in the game then? or do i have the numbers wrong?
it was the guard i was watching. You have the numbers wrong. Spoon and Washington started. Wohlabaugh got a few snaps at G with Petry moving out to T. So 57, 77 and 72 at tackle.
Wohlabaugh is 79. Starters are Petry and Bradford. 72 and 74.it was the guard i was watching.
It's a solid idea, even if you're at the game. What's worse is Grant stopped running in pursuit. Thankfully Duce didn't.

Idk Grant is way to hit or miss. I think he is largely responsible for our defense giving up so many big plays. Sure he’s made some plays, but imo too inconsistent. McDonald seems a step slower this year. I wouldn’t mind seeing Wax and Barron at LB.You know I thought the same thing. Barron should be playing downhill at LB. Grant has been excellent at Safety.
I put my blinders on Grant because of that sack/fumble forced but you're right.Idk Grant is way to hit or miss. I think he is largely responsible for our defense giving up so many big plays. Sure he’s made some plays, but imo too inconsistent. McDonald seems a step slower this year. I wouldn’t mind seeing Wax and Barron at LB.
It was 72 but for a sec looked like 70.Confused. What game are you referring to?
It was 72 first willis run but it did look like 70 for a sec and second willis run it was 74 who got murdered.so who was wearing 70 in the game then? or do i have the numbers wrong?
He won't be Iffy, who was often overlooked here.My thoughts on Grant are this: He has great optimal height. He's long and strong and pretty fast. He has very good physical skills to cover as a safety. He can make some exception plays making turnovers happen. He had 5 picks at Buffalo as a true sophomore. He can make some great plays exploding at people behind the line of scrimmage and at their ankles etc. What he lacks is some assignment awareness stuff and the willingness to be physical. They play i referenced above, the player (Smothers) is 5'-11" and 182 lbs and was coming directly straight at him with no jukes. The tackle he missed was just soft. I want to see him explode into a dude that is coming at him where there is a big collision and deliver a serious blow. Sure it might hurt a little bit. But he's 6'-4" and 199 lbs and needs to play like it. If they can get him to play physical and run through tackles he can be very good.
You’re insane. Wax is the best LB on this team hands down. It’s ridiculous that I even have to respond to this.Barron is the best LB on the team. Wax included.
Was is best but i think Bsrron found a home. He does a great job. You’re insane. Wax is the best LB on this team hands down. It’s ridiculous that I even have to respond to this.
I think we should take a nice break from number reading after this and the Haynes fiasco. It could also be just me not telling a 72 from a 70 in the bad replay i was watching.
Would love to see Wax (Edit - Alas)/McDonald/Barron at LB to (try to) contain Des Reid and help with Bartholomew. Pitt defense is middle of the conference, 14th in pass defense (244+ per game), but 4th in rush defense. They'll be a tough out, esp. with homer officiating.Wax isn't likely to return immediately at 100%, but I do think he will play some at Pitt.
I expect we will see more defensive alignments with three linebackers (McDonald, Wax and Barron) and Diggs on the edge.
Pitt has a strong running game and a QB who can run as well as pass.
IMO, we are going to need to play our best game of the year to get a W.
To bad about wax
