Marrone with another p---- punt

At the end of the day the Bills are 3-7. I am beginning to believe the Bills aren't going to finish very strong. I thought 7-9 would be a good start but they are getting worse. Tough to win with the qb situation
At the end of the day marrone and Manuel is a downgrade from grandma gailey and Ryan fitzdravecky

Ohhh...I see you showed up. How about one of your vintage "Weekly Hunt Stat Posts?"

Ps 103 rating 20 pts. Ooooo.

103 rating = 23rd percentile fyi

he might be better than manuel though.

Marrone & Co. were absolutely awful today. No excuses. EJ has a LONG way to go and team in general look completely disinterested.

Not completely down though, this team was not a playoff team anyways, and young teams have games like these. However it is important they play well next week. They can not totally tank the rest of the year, if they only win say 1 or 2 games, that is a bad sign.

Sucks too because every single team in the 6th WC race lost today except Baltimore who we beat. Could have been right there with the Jets coming up.

It's amazing how much QB play can sabotage what is otherwise a playoff caliber roster.

It will be nice when we get to six wins - because when that happens I think my instinct to get annoyed/disgruntled every time I see Marrone's name will go away. Catharsis is near

I can't believe how many fans have already given up on Manuel. He showed a lot of very good things before he got injured. The kid was raw coming out already, then he gets five weeks of rotting on the sidelines and he's supposed to light it up immediately I guess. He'll be fine, as will Marrone.

Spiller walks like a World War II veteran with degenerative hip disease after every carry. What do you expect?
That they let him get healthy if they're not going to use him?

He's horribly mishandled.

Too inaccurate he can't make simple throws before the injury

Awful post. Dude was injured most games. If that's the case, don't play him. Ankle sprain? Don't play. Running him straight into the line is horrible play calling. Additionally, the fact he doesn't sniff the Redzone is ridiculous.

Who gives a about spiller. He's hurt and Fred Jackson is good. That loss has nothing to do with Spiller or Jackson. It has everything to do with Marrone being an idiot punter and Manuel not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. I don't know that I've ever seen an NFL qb so off.

There's a whole lot of wiggle room between "lighting it up" and yesterday.
They avoided a shut-out only because an int set them up in FG range and a meaningless garbage TD.
10 meaningful points generated by the offense vs a mediocre defense would be bad enough. We had 10 less than that.

Whats weird is how potent at times the offense looked with Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel. KC has one of the best defenses in the league and while Tuel completely sabotaged the game, Buffalo still went up and down on KC like noones business.

EJ comes in and the playcalling becomes boring and vanilla and we look worse than the Jags.

He had a pretty good completion percentage in college as well as the NFL before he suffered the injury. As he continues to work on his footwork and gain experience that accuracy will improve. He's jittery in the pocket right now because he doesn't really know what he's doing - common for a rookie. That's affecting his throws more than anything else.

EJ also had no running game yesterday. Its clear the Steelers were not going to let us run and gamble that a rookie QB on the road in his first game back couldnt beat them.

You say running him straight into the line is horrible play calling (insinuating that he shouldn't be used like a regular running back) - and then you say it's ridiculous that they don't use him in the red zone (where your running back must thrive at bulling over people and breaking tackles in minimal space). You contradict yourself.

He had one terrible game against a HOF Defensive Coordinator coming off of a five-week layoff where he hung out with Hackett in the press box. PANIC!!! GET RID OF HIM!!! AHHH!!!

if drafting someone better next year gets misconstrued as panic, so be it.

his qb rating is 66 the last 4 games, i think lebeau isn't the only one who's figured out he can't throw and only looks at one receiver

you can still spread a defense out between the sidelines, bulling over people is not a must.

marronehead would disagree, i'm sure

And another terrible game @NYJ and four very pedestrian games (most of which were admittedly against good defenses). But the top highlights so far are a drive vs Carolina who was missing their top 2 or 3 CB's, and a bomb to Woods vs Baltimore in a game he went 10 for 24. It's not the worst ever start to a career but there's nothing especially encouraging either.

For every QB that doesn't make it you can always find imperfect circumstances/excuses equivalent to the layoff and Dick Lebau. "But JP has no time back there", "but Trent is hamstrung by the playcalling", "but Fitz is always playing from behind because the defense stinks"...
Bills fans have been doing this for years. It's tiresome. Can the guy play or not? So far it looks like he can't.

Nobody is saying he should be benched or cut. Finding out if he can play is pretty much the sole purpose of the season. I hope he improves a lot. If he doesn't we need to pick another guy or two and find a damn guy who can play. Otherwise we're just wasting the prime seasons of a lot of good players.
