End of story. There's no justifying it. It's like if Roy Williams was the coach and they took Kendall Marshall over Derrick Rose and then tried to justify it saying he's more of a "pass first" PG and that fits the team better.

I think he could have, but chose the French National Team a while back. Not sure if he can switch back, but I doubt it (not 100% sure, though).

If it's anything like soccer (probably?) then you can't switch. I just had no recollection of Noah playing for France.

It's really the difference between filling a team with talents (what was done when we didn't win the gold despite having NBA players) and actually having a team. Plumlee is a better fit for this team because he'll fill certain roles. He'll be replaced by a more talented guy that can still play within a team concept when the Olympics role around. It just won't be Cousins.
