Sadly, I looked this up, since joining the ACC: (W-L)
NC St - 4-5 (had 3 consecutive losses dating back to 17/18 season before the 1/31/21 W)
GT - 5-4
Clemson - 4-5 (3 consecutive losses dating back to 18/19 season)

I'll play along:

1. What if Pitt was healthy in the game at the Dome (the one in which we gagged away a nearly 20-point lead)?
2. What if NC State had their 2 best players available last Sunday?
3. Who's getting the majority of the minutes at PG and SG next year?
4. I honestly don't know offhand, but ignore Duke, UNC and UVa - what is our record against NC State, GT and Clemson since we joined the ACC?
5. Why would one expect Sidibe to be healthy? Because he had stayed healthy 1 of his first 3 years here?

We’d be talking about a situation in which almost the entire at-risk population is vaccinated and the transmission rate is cut in half. The reason the virus is so dangerous is the transmission rate, not necessarily the death rate. With that cut in half, this pandemic would be effectively over.

Vaccination isn't going to cut the transmission rate, because so many people in their 20s and 30s won't wear masks. They are the biggest source of transmission right now, and their behavior doesn't look like it's getting too much better.

This guy still doesn’t get it.
We lost double digit games in 2009 because the Big East was a monster and were still a 3 seed in the tournament. If we had lost the 6 OT game we are 4 or 5 seed still with 9 losses.

Park doesn’t get it or his just spinning a false narrative.

Fans at Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State, Kansas are frustrated with their performance this season but this isn’t 5 years in a row of this stuff.

We are at year 7 and Park is still spewing this stuff.

Real question, is there evidence to back up this age group transmission being the highest? I just may not have seen it.

I see the opposite where I live. When I see someone not wearing a mask in a store or causing a scene at a gas station it is always someone older than me (36). This may play out very differently in a less rural area, and certainly on a college campus, but I think it is too simplistic to simply blame people in their 20s and 30s. There is a segment of our population that just does not believe in the virus/care about others, sad but true.

If double digit losses was simply a function of longer seasons our winning percentage would remain the same. Before this latest stretch our longest stretch of seasons below .700 under JB was 3. We're going on 7 now and 4 of those are below .600.

And as Alsacs pointed out, if it was a function of a stacked conference we would be getting good seeds in the tournament, not taking up permanant residence on the bubble.

Park’s tweets are making this situation even more frustrating than I want to care to get too.
How is this guy still engaging in this.

His tweets are so bad that I don’t even know what the point is that he’s trying to make.

It’s like he’s throwing shade at JB by telling fans to stop gassing JB’s career up and JB didn’t build this program into what fans think he did as a way to...defend him?

Does he realize this is an argument *against* JB?

The tweets are just stupid.
He is insulting the HC and program to defend the status quo.

I don’t even want to get mad. The guy isn’t worth it.

From the CDC website:

At the time of hotspot detection, the highest percent positivity was among persons aged 18–24 years (14%), followed by those aged 0–17 years (11%), 25–44 years (10%), 45–64 years (8%), and ≥65 years (6%).

Younger people might not be causing a fuss as often at the store, but they are also far more likely to break quarantine to hang out with friends, go to bars, etc.

on the bright side maybe he makes a fool of himself and it brings more attention to the issue for Wildhack to see and start plotting next moves

Yikes. Park needs to be muzzled.

sincerely hope he’s not a Newhouse Grad

If the at-risk population is vaccinated, the 20 and 30 and 40 year olds playing hacky sack with the virus, back and forth with each other, is moot.

Also, most of that demographic will get vaccinated, likely by middle of summer.

Is Park normally out there answering random fans on Twitter? This is like trying to put out a fire by randomly throwing a cups of Kerosene on it. I have no problem with Matt being a company guy (SU is his employer) but all he is doing is aggravating an already peeved off fanbase. Somebody should give him the heads up that its time to get off twitter. He sounds like Mahomes mom and fiance defending Mahomes last night on twitter. Real bad look.

yeah, I don’t get the end game here at all. If you want fans to accept that the new norm is that we won’t be very good or even good at all sometimes, it’s not gonna work

Exactly, you can't tell a fanbase thats essentially had ongoing high level success for the better part of the 30 years (with some exceptions) that the parties over and the program is what it is now. That might work for the fball program unfortunately but its never going to work for bball or Lax.

holy cow. That #2 or #3 comment is “get a life stuff” here.
i guess the endgame is to chase away the local fans? They did a great job with football. Let’s see how they do!

Brutal, the answer to all of those questions is irrelevant absolutely irrelevant. This is going to end badly for Matt and for SU. This isn't Wildhacks beat and I am a huge JW fan but between the fball teams performance last year and now the bball program and Matt Park becoming James Dolan apparently, SU athletics aren't exactly crushing it right now.
