for Lopez Grant and Calderon
Wow
Wow
lol...no way. He's too dang lazy and soooooooooo over paid.Dwight Howard, come on down!
Can't believe the Knicks got the bulls to take Lopez's contract. He's due 42 million over the next 3 years.

For a starting C? That's a good deal.
I hate this trade
But with the league going smaller, it is hard to play Lopez and KP together. KP fits the model as a center in the league. Carmelo can go back to playing PF. And they can try to fill in with shooters at the SG and SF spots. It gets them closer to the current NBA model, if nothing else. For a starting C? That's a good deal.

Isn't Hornacek trying to play fast? If that's the case I didn't see how Lopez fit into future plans.
this should be interesting. a ball dominant PG with Melo, what could go wrong
If they play their cards right, they will have TONS of money to offer a free agent after this year when the cap goes way up.He's still an asset on that contract. And there's talk they're going after Dwight, Noah, or Gasol, who aren't exactly up tempo players.
If you want to move Lopez; fine. Not for a washed up Rose though.

Howard at this point in his career might bring more headaches than production.Lopez was just D and rebounds. Dwight gives you that, plus offense, plus more athleticism. Gasol and Noah aren't the most athletic guys, but Dwight can get up and down the court.

It could be interesting, but if his contract is more than a year or two, it reeks of desperation.off the court stuff is a concern. But on the court, even a dip in his production would be an improvement over RoLo's production last season.

But not by a lot and you'd be paying Howard more than twice as much as Lopez made.
If they get Howard, how are the minutes split up at the center position? If the Knicks do play fast, though, Howard fits that style better.
