You can have the ingredients you need, but what you don't have is a competent baker. And that's you.

And quite honestly, we have not improved as a team. It seems everyone else has started to gel more as a team, which is why we can only beat Mercyhurst by 14 because they've actually started improving as a team being together more. And your team, Red Autry has not. Stop gas lighting the fan base.

Bringing back this coaching staff will probably do the most damage to athletic revenue in modern history. Hope the administration thinks it was worth it. Those balance sheets are going to make Bear Stearns look like a profitable company.
But we have to have mediocre continuity for continous mediocreness.

We have lost some if our defensive energy. Not having White come in off the bench hurts our rotations. Instead we’re bring in Betsy, Anthony and Souare. Not a high energy defensive group. Before it was Donnie joining Betsy and Anthony. It was a much better combination. I’m worried about White in ACC play. He got pushed around last night and the ball ripped completely out of his hands. He also got blocked against the smallest team in Division 1 basketball.

Very true.

I was excited early on about our defensive intensity. Defense is often ahead of a team's offense early in the season, and it can be something a team can hang their hat on.

But now, the team has regressed defensively to the point where even a glorified D2 school like Mercyhurst [or a lower NET team like Hofstra] can pick us apart and get easy shots.

And the offensive has never gotten better. Teams that don't get better are typically limited by poor coaching [as we see].

Maybe Donnie Freeman returns, but he sure isn't a cure-all.

This team is regressing. You tell me this is the same team we saw against Houston? I don't think so. No offensive identity, guys look like deer in the headlights on the sideline and on the court. I think Autry has lost this team.

I think the worst part of all of this is we all know how it will end, but we have to again detach for another winter from our beloved Orange. I wish we could just fast-forward to the inevitable 18-12 finish or whatever and just move on. This is a program that many built their winter schedules around once upon a time. The damage of fan apathy growing is really going to set this program back.

Yes! I said the same thing. 18-10. 9 seed in ACCT. early exit.

Not sure if this been discussed, but did anyone notice in the first half, a couple of guys (one was Kiyan) put their arm around George, talking him up after he made a couple good plays? It wasn't in a celebratory way. It appeared more like good teammates who were reassuring a player who has lost his confidence, which is understandable. It really stood out to me because it was sort of odd.

The last 5 games...
Iowa St: 6 assists / 7 turnovers
Tennessee: 3 assists / 4 turnovers
St Joes: 3 assists / 2 turnovers
Hofstra: 6 assists / 1 turnover
Mercyhurst: 4 assists / 6 turnovers

That's 22 assists to 20 turnovers. He looks kinda broken to me.

Nait George:

2025 ORating: 101.8
2026: 94.3

2025 Assist Rate: 34.6%
2026: 29.6%

2025 Turnover Rate: 21.8%
2026: 28.2%
