Miami first half demonstrates three things

Nothing we don’t already know but telling when the opposing coach flat out says what we have all been saying:
“If you look at the statistics at halftime, Girard had 15,’' Larranaga said. “He was killing us. So what they did, they brought Kadary in to play the point and Joe Girard played the 2-guard spot and he took out Griffin. So you have Boeheim, who’s a heck of a shooter, you have Girard, who’s a heck of a shooter, and Kadary just getting the ball to those guys. Driving and dishing.’'

Why did we score 2 points in the first 7 mins if this was the case?

Did their fatigue go away once Kadary came in?
Just took awhile for them to get going.

I did not know they were sick djcon57.

I'm glad they are better and the results of that were 23pts and 23pts. Also happy JB is experimenting with player positions - it got positive results. If Kadary can contribute we're all the better for him being in.

Still not 10000 percent convinced that edwards can bang (especially on offense) but this was
A lot better
This

We all hope he has elevated his confidence with a light bulb going on moment. However, the sample size is too small. If he can be a 10-15 min guy and chip in some postive stats it will take a ton of pressure of Marek while we see what happens with Bourma and Frank.

Jesse needs to add 25lbs over the next couple seasons. He may or may not get there...look at Marek. However Jesse should figure on staying at Cuse for 5 years. I think he just might be able to earn some money in Europe.

Well if Joe and GMAC are 6'2"...I think Jesse is 7'5"

I have a hard time believing JG is more than. 5’11 ... I can buy Gmac being 6’1

Kadary looked comfortable the second he stepped on the court vs Miami. It probalby helped that he immediately grabbed a few steals to settle in, but he definitely looked different than he has the past few games. Either way, he should be getting 30 minutes at PG, Joe the other 10. JG can play off the ball for another 15-20 with Buddy, and occasionally all 3 together. This whole team functions better with Kadary at the 1 and then whoever is next to him looks so much better and can hunt for open spots on the court. Kadary will find the open guy from what we've seen, and getting Buddy/JG to be squared up and in rhythm is so much more ideal than the crap we've seen.

I don't think Edwards is really capable of being a factor every game. Miami was not good inside, so that helped, but I can't see him consistently holding the paint against better opponents. BUT he can and should certainly rotate in and out, giving us 15 minutes a game.

It may have been more the opponent playing poorly, but it was really nice to see some guys actually get deserved action and take advantage. JB finally doing something different may also finally get this team going. It won't work like this every game, but it's worth switching things up to find the best fit for that day.

I hope Woody gets back to full strength soon, I'd like to see him performing like he was in December.

My ideal rotation, assuming all is working well on both ends:
PG: Kadary 30, Joe 10
SG: Buddy 25, Joe 15
SF: AG 25, Buddy 5, Woody 10
PF: QG 30, Marek 10
C: Marek 20-25, Jesse 15-20?

Mix Braswell in here and there.

Not bad..

I would go with:

PG: Kadary 25, Joe 15
SG: Buddy 25, Joe 10, AG 5
SF: AG 20, Woody 10, QG 10
PF: QG 20, Bras 10, Marek 10
C: Marek 15, Jesse 10, FA 10, Situational 5 (who's playing best)

I would not play Buddy at the 3 unless we were in a situation where we are bigger and he's hot. Not saying it wouldn't work occasionally, but I'm not a big fan of the 3 guard lineup because I think we lose defense, rebounding and athleticism with that lineup.
