Miami first half demonstrates three things

Jimmy has really screwed up with his stubbornness. Bras Edwards Kadary all should have been playing significant minutes from game one. As we all know Joe is a 2 and Marek is a 3-4. Kadary had 8 or 9 assists. 3 for Dunks. I believe 2 for 3s. The D with Edwards Marek Q Kadary is solid. We are huge and dont get out muscled. How the heck JB didn't see this is crazy.

This was a good game. It’s a proof of concept for games against legitimate competition.

It’s okay to just say Kadary should be playing the majority of the minutes at PG and that JG is a SG who can be the backup PG.

We are all fans and just want the team to win.

KR should be the starting PG.

- Kadary is a good PG, which we all knew
- Miami is very bad. We all probably knew this, too.
- Joe shoots better off the catch. Again, we all knew it.
- Jesse Edwards can at least play against bigs who aren’t super physical. A surprise to most/all.

I still prefer starting games with Joe and Buddy. If anything, today showed the spark Kadary can provide off the bench, which is the spark everybody said they’ve been looking for.

Still not 10000 percent convinced that edwards can bang (especially on offense) but this was
A lot better

Edwards at the 5. Marek 3 Q 4 Kadary point has been obvious for a very long time.
Marek is a 4, but I think he and Quincy are versatile enough to play together against a lot of teams.

When you have a serviceable 7 footer it's a game changer on top of a real PG. It changes the entire look and makes the game easier for others.

Let me add that Jesse isn't a statue either. He defends with his feet first vs just walling up.

Joe Girard had a serviceable one footer at Jimmy John’s before the game.

Source say it was the Big Vito.

Yeah I still have no idea why JG goes 39 and Buddy is at 35 mpg but whatevs. No bras or woody...in a 30 Point game

Woody is likely recovering like Frank but ahead of him. When he came back he was really struggling to get up and down the court. Bras probably could have gotten some minutes but he is someone who right now is a defensive specialist. We know he can give us another option and he has proven it. Would have like to have seen him more but tonight was a big step into a change to go with a real center and a real PG more frequently.

The last several games Kadary was left open while his man clogged up the middle. He did absolutely nothing those games to help our offense. Perhaps you didn't know Jessie lost a lot of fitness time begin overseas and getting back into the USA late. He was completely abused every time he got a chance to play until today. Bras showed nothing until the last few games, so only here do I wonder with you why he didn't get more time today. But then there is the niggling little fact that after the 5 minute mark those that played had tremendous games and we ran away with it. Sorry your post is the one where I am venting but anyone who disagrees with these observed facts can feel free to be equally offended. I am glad to be of service in that regard. In fact I insist upon it. What this game showed was why teams leave Kadary wide open rather than guard him tightly and that Miami doesn't have a powerful center. I see a bright future for Kadary. I would have to be blind not to see that. Jessie is a bit of a surprise but he could do the same. Kadary needs a shot and he will be unstoppable while Jessie needs a ton more of strength.

Ok let’s ignore Kadary and Jesse and let’s address these.
we all agree Miami is bad right?
why were we down 11-2? Why did we have 2 points on offense In 7 mins vs a terrible team.

thats should be kind of a big concern as far as using that lineup going forward, no? You would think with all that spacing we would be able to get more than 2 points

Jim is this you. I wanted to say thank you for all the great things you do in the community. Tell your son he shot the ball well tonight.

Jesse had a great game but Miami did not have the bruising inside players that other ACC teams may have. I hope he continues to get significant playing time to see if he can handle the bigger centers. Marek can't.

Why ignore what we saw tonight? We saw the same starting five begin both halves. The first half they sucked early and the second half they didn't. Thats a total wash. I don't ignore tonight nor do I ignore what I observed in the other SU games and I have watched every one of them. Some of them painful I must say but watch I did. I would rather look horrible in the first few minutes and win big of course. But I don't hang my hat on any one short period of time in a game nor one isolated game. To steal from JB, we didn't make some good shots early on and we forced a few which has been a very bad habit. For the Buddy bashers out there he was one of the first subs out after a badly forced shot. He had a very good game after that. Griffin, who again forced too many, got to watch from the bench. The last time that happened he came back the next game to be Superman. Hope he does the same thing again next game. My biggest concern to date has been using some subs and they did not produce. Today was a huge exception and I loved it. I also loved both Buddy and JGIII getting some confidence back. We will need all of the players who looked great and some who didn't tonight to be good to great going forward, especially Jessie in the center. This is a young team and I don't care who carries us to a win. Much like JB I am obsessed with getting a "W".

No but I wish I could have had the dream job of my life like he has. Oh and his success at it as well. Say hi to my sister, niece and nephews out in Seattle.

i don’t hang my hat on isolated games or moments either..or eye tests..

the suggestion that your biggest concern to date has been subs not producing is an interesting theory. One that doesn’t match the actual stats.

i will agree that I don’t care who gets the Ws. hope the proper lineups are used to get those Ws instead of Ls as we go through the rest of the season

Nothing about Edwards playing significant minutes was obvious. Marek not being a Center was the obvious part. Kadary being a talented Pg was obvious. That’s why I’ve liked him.
It was too me since last season.

Brooks is 7-0 240. Timberlake is 6-6 215 (same as Champagnie). Walker is 6-9 210.

Miami only got outboarded by 6 vs UNC.

Jesse is tall enough but too thin. He needs to add 40 lbs. at least. Please feed him.
