I enjoyed our defense when we pressured and forced turnovers. It didn’t coincide with wins because our offense sucked, but at least it better than the defense we’re witnessing now.

I didn’t comment on this game all week but I didn’t expect this game to go much different than it is. Our D has given up huge plays all year with no defender even in the picture a lot of times. We get no pass rush, we don’t tackle well, we don’t get TO’s. A #6 ranked team is going to walk all over any D that plays like we do. At the same time, it sucks knowing we aren’t even competitive.

Defensively we need to blitz Ward off the edges, I'd use a DB blitz, move him to one side or the other - more often to his left, and try to cut the field in half and make him get rid of the ball in a hurry. Play tight coverage and hope our DBs can cover for a couple seconds until the pressure gets there.

We'll give up some long TDs, but we might get a turnover or get them behind the sticks sometimes too.
