Reality is Fran deserves criticism for the qb room. But there is nothing you can do to fix Collins. It’s pretty clear 3-1 / 0-8… as crazy as it is, next year with a hopefully competent qb room is going to be much different.

Have to move on from the year.

Every other OC has basic plays that work. Football really isn't that complicated. You have to put your players in the position to be successful and employ some deception. Nixon does neither

I suspect we will see why they were so hesitant to give him a long look. The bigger issue is Collins and Jakari being this bad. Can't have a 5 qb back up room with no one who can remotely play at this level

Miami's WR can throw a screen to their QB. Our QB cannot throw a screen to our WR.

Yes. He’s absolutely massive and has speed to go with it. If he could put everything together why wouldn’t he be? He was a 4 star recruit and the number 1 back in his state for a reason.

All you say might be true. It would be nice if he could get the ball without having somebody already in the backfield with him. A lot of really good college backs aren't NFL caliber. I just think it's quite a stretch.

Collins is our worst qb since Rex Culpepper, but he has a worse td to int ratio. He will go down as one of SU’s worst QBs of all time. Guess we are watching history in the making..

I mean, you are always gonna have a drop in capability when u go down the backup list but having all non-D1 QBs from #2-on that you can't effectively scheme for at this level is a an insurmountable recruiting failure, it would appear... At least for this staff

And don't give me "but Carney needs a shot..."

I feel the plan was for him to redshirt all along and I think if they would have made him the starter after the injury he would have been fine with that but that isnt what happened
