Cleveland came in to this game as one of the hottest players in the country, certainly in the ACC. It seemed pretty apparent going in that we should do everything we can to stop Cleveland and make somebody else beat us. Even after Cleveland toasted Taylor in the first half I’m not aware that we made any adjustment whatsoever in the second and predictably, he finished with 32. Just mind-boggling.
It's not like that was all bad defense. That kid is talented, and there were times during the game that we defended about as well as you can without fouling, and they simply made tough shots. Happens sometimes.
