It just shows people and how they react. Look i love dogs. Had one for 11 years. They are not humans. Raping a girl is worse. So is assault. So is attempted murder. So is child ography. So is drug trafficking. I could go on. I actually had a conversation with a client once who tried to say with a straight face that what vick did was worse than what ted bundy did. On my mothers soul. I was speechless. When i attempted to rebuttal he said "dogs are human beings too...you must not be a pet lover." Speechless
Mike Vick @MikeVick 2h
Have to watch the Syracuse Orangeman play. Didn't know they were undefeated. #NCAA
Well at least he knows to call us the Orangemen. I now despise him only 99%.
Unfortunately, this picture reminds me that we should have won that game were it not for Nunes the Magician. He managed to make a win disappear by passing the ball to the wrong team.
Or how about when he made a safety appear from snapping the ball at the 20.
That pic is my avatar.
I think it changes for both sides. Syracuse has it's successor, that learns for one year under McNabb. Kevin Rogers sticks around to coach the most physically gifted quarterback he's ever known. Syracuse is able to recruit in successive years because of the continued notoriety Vick provides. Vick matures into a better man because he isn't around his friends back home. He stays for more than two years because coach P instills that nobody is bigger than the team. A Vick led offense combined with a Freeney (who is never injured in 2000 because he isn't sacking Vick against VaTech) led defense leads us in 2001 to a victory over a Miami team that may be the most talented ever assembled. We move from #2 in the country to #1 and win the national championship...Pure hypothetical: if Vick goes to SU, how does that change the last 15 years of SU football?
My question is, how much would Vicks life have changed if he went to SU instead of VT? A buddy of mine told me his mom wanted him to get away from the area and go to SU but things changed and we all know the story from there.
Anyone have any idea whether he has true remorse for what he did?
I actually feel bad for the posters who think a human being doesn't deserve a second chance... People can and do change, yet you discredit and bind individuals to some arbitrary and subjective "too heinous a crime" situation, that you made up based on your personal passions. Vick paid his dues to society and has stayed out of trouble, what else do you want? Have you eaten a steak before? How could you?! You literally ate the flesh of an animal that may have been tortured and killed in horrible circumstances, you should NEVER be given another chance or a shot at change. Sounds stupid now doesn't it?
I want for you to draw me a DEFINITIVE line for human beings who deserve a second chance and those who don't. Go!You're really going to draw a parallel between consuming an animal bred for human consumption that may or may not have been abused before death to knowingly abusing and killing animals that you personally bred to injure and maim either themselves or other animals, including some that you killed with your own hands? Really? The only thing that sounds stupid to me is you.
