#1, you cannot assume that all the same players would go into the sport if the max was $1M a year.
#2 - if you are jealous of what they make, then you should have gone and played MLB. Oh, that's right, you don't have the talent.
#3, if George Clooney limited his income to $1M per movie, a lot more people could go to the movies.
#4 - if we paid doctors and nurses a lot less money, more people could go to the hospital.
#5 - if we paid grocery and department store employees and farmers and truckers, a lot more people could buy a lot more stuff
#6 - all of the money that is not made by people now cannot be spent in the economy, hurting incomes all around.
# 7 - why do you assume that the tickets would be less if the salaries were less? In any major league city, they have a monopoly on the product.
Many people (certainly not all) who "can't afford" to go to a game have prioritized their disposable income differently. What they really want is more disposable income.
Who are you to be the arbiter of who makes too much money? Learn to worry about what you make, and not about what other's make. Life is easier that way.
