I hate to say it, but I think it shows we still face a massive talent gap.

Our record speaks to that. It's a reality. We have not had the talent.

People also need to keep in mind that lots of talented kid go undrafted.

Ha. In my mind I was kinda using Morris as a cut off - as he was the last great RB in the NFL from SU. Last 30 years it’s just been a few guys who made it, as backups.

Darryl Johnston...okay a FB, not a RB. Still falls in the Post-Morris era, and a great NFL career.

Moe averaged 5 yards a carry in each of his four years here. That's pretty good considering the quality of the lines he ran behind. He came here a straight-ahead speedster and by his senior year was a fine all-round running back.

But you're right. we've had a long line of good running backs who didn't make it in the NFL, (Reyes surprised me the most). It didn't give Moe much of a pedigree.

After his first carry I thought Moe was going to be all world. That said it was against Colgate I wish him well.
