Curtis Brinkley is on the bubble

RB -- Curtis Brinkley vs. Jackie Battle. Brinkley came to the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2009 but was shot in the chest after completing offseason workouts. With the bullet still lodged near his heart, Brinkley made the practice squad in 2010 and was on the active roster for three games. In 2011, Brinkley was active for 10 games and made one start. He carried the ball 30 times for 101 yards and one TD. Battle (free agent, Chiefs), a five-year vet, has 190 career carries for 715 yards and 4 TDs. Battle is a special teams standout and that may give him an edge over Brinkley.

Chandler Jones looked good when the offensive and defensive linemen went 1-on-1. But you can tell he's still adjusting -- the DE looked especially gassed toward the end of practice. You know the look: hands on the hips at every chance.

"When a conference goes through change, there will be the inevitable hand-wringing about being different from what it was," Bailey recently told the website, The Big Lead. "It is up to leadership to explain why change occurred and also why it may be better, sometimes through unintended consequences of change. I know for a fact that the Big East is more diverse today, more inclusive and way more interesting and will be very proactive in delivering our messages."

I would like to hear that explanation myself.

Nice article on the Oline. Even at his size, Pugh appears very athletic...what a beast.

Maybe what they should do is call everybody a winner at the end of the year and give everyone a trophy

major mistake by the recruits at psu
Agreed.

Is the "transfer and play immediately" offer only good for this year or can players opt-out anytime during sanction period? If, as I suspect, it's only good for this year then these recruits need to be deprogrammed by other former cult members.

Thats why the program needed to be shut down, everything will go on as usual in happy valley, and the cult will continue except with different leaders. Joe was the so called King, but the cult of Penn St football still continues.

i'll bet emmeret see's the depth of the pathology at psu now and realizes the death penalty was warranted

Jesus, it's not nazi Germany.
