Moore to Bills per BuffaloBills.com

Here is 247's top 100 recruiters. Obviously a lot of this is a function of the school they're at, so that reflects he athletes available to them. Nonetheless, on a quick look, I only see Michael Barrow at Miami as a guy that was a real successful NFL player. I see a ton of guys that were very successful in college and may have had a few years in the NFL.

Sometimes I think that guys who really made it big time in the pros just don't thrive on these college staffs when it comes to recruiting. There are probably a few good ones out there that aren't coming to mind, but it seems like it just isn't a great fit.

The ones that do come to mind don't seem to last too long in the college ranks before moving up to the NFL ranks. Off the top of my head list of successful NFL players who did well as college coaches:
Jim Harbaugh: I recall reading stories about him recruiting at Stanford - went back to NFL
Tyrone Wheatley: did well recruiting for us - went back to NFL
Ken Norton Jr.: don't know much other than he was ata USC for a while and coached top LBs; therefore assume he could recruit - went back to NFL

Thought I'd get more, but can't think of any. Now, players who peaked in college is a different story.

So you're saying that my experience playing WR in pick up games and flag football leagues in the military aren't sufficient? I can start playing Madden Football to brush up...

I am glad that HCSS knows what he wants in his staff and that he is not lowering standards and promoting people buying their abilities AND experience.

Are you a Rob Moore clone? Did you learn nothing from reading these posts. Madden? We don't NEED an NFL guy, we need a college guy who can recruit, not manage salary caps and draft picks. Try this instead, geeez...... (just make sure you turn up the difficulty all the way, SU isn't patriot league ya know...)

@MinkNate
Moore on guilt/regret on timing of move: He said he heard swirlings, but no concrete conversations that said that he wouldn’t be at SU (1/2)

@MinkNate
(2/2) Moore said he reached out to every player he recruited: "I feel pretty good about the situation."

@MinkNate
Moore: "I knew at some point I would coach at this level, I just didn’t know when."

(don't make a joke about the # of phone calls, don't make a joke about the # of phone calls, don't make a joke about the # of phone calls)

wow.
not much positivity about his last year at SU.
i guess moving on was the best move for everyone.
