He’s a Virginia kid. I doubt this is simply just a prepared comment. I get your point but I recall Maliq mentioning fondness for Duke before too.

Like everything now $$$ matters a ton too and does in Maliqs case. Just saying it’s hardly a random cliche statement from him.

It will be interesting to watch the circus at UCF this year. I just realized that along with malcontent Benny, they now also have on the roster Dior Johnson and Mikey Williams. I wonder who will be the first to get kicked off the team. My vote is on Dior.

Who is worse, Scheyer or Hurley? Scheyer isn't as animated as Hurley but something about him bothers me more.

I agree with people saying guys say stuff like that because it's the right thing, but I think it's probably true in this case. Recall Donna published an article quoting Maliq saying he's coming back and he's all about loyalty, and then a few weeks later he transferred to a conference foe. Duke back-channeled him and it would make sense that he always wanted them since he switched it up so quick after spewing loyalty (they also offered a fat NIL check).

He is a good defender that has zero O game. He will be a solid piece for Duke just like he was for SU.
