Most important players next year

We are in the sweet and you make this post. Playing time is not an issue hes gotten the keys to the convertible from JB. Boo Hoo it's been a tough year on the freshman to make friends and be a college experience outside of basketball team.
You never fail to disappoint. Remember when you asked me for a pm about something. And I didn't respond. This is example #1.

??? Sometimes, people aren't happy where they are. There doesn't have to be a good guy or a bad guy. And you can't make people want to stay somewhere. Once again, not saying he is gone for sure. All of this could be very old news, but some places aren't the right place for everyone. Any of us that went to school, did you think about leaving? True story, about 10 weeks in to my first semester, I went home and told my mom that I wanted to leave Syracuse. She heard me out and said , no. You wanted to go so bad, you are going to stick it out. I fell in love with Syracuse. Minds change. I just wanted people to know what I am hearing.

Yeah, I was that guy too - for a little bit at the end of my Frosh year, and at the end of my first semester Soph year, for sure. I was pretty miserable, hated my major, getting horrible grades, just not in a good place for a while.

But things changed that 2nd semester (starting with nuking my former major) -
and the trajectory of my college experience did a 180, and I enjoyed the absolute FFF outta my last 5 semesters!!!

We should have Kadary chat with guys like Scoop, Dion, and MCW.

Each one of them was thiiiiiiiiiiis close to leaving Cuse, but stayed and then killed it here.

Hey, we can't win without Hodge. And who is this Warwick?
Huge difference in these situations. Warrick came in and there were other forwards. He only averaged like 6 a game. That team also went to the NIT. If Kadary leaves, there is not a single PG on this roster.

Other than the guy that has started at the point for the last two years, you mean. Other than that guy.

I hear you. We’ve all had times in college where we were sad and out of it. That’s where the support system needs to kick in and tell him to be patient - that things can only get better once Covid ends and fans are back. If he just doesn’t fit in with his teammates that’s on the team to rally around him - leave nobody behind. Remove the cancers (aka woody) in his ear.

Sorry, but you aren't going to convince me Joe Girard is a PG. He's been forced into that spot by Jim. This is not a knock on Joe, but there is a substantial difference in his game, and the offense overall, when he's asked to play more off-ball.

Your posting this when we are in the sweet 16 that is my problem.

I don't know or like the idea of calling Woody a cancer. As a matter of fact, I think Woody has been treated very poorly here. He played very well and then never seen again.

we’re a bit screwed if Q leaves imo.

How are we replacing those rebounds? Unless Jesse significantly improves his coordination and aggressiveness, or Frank makes a sophomore leap I really don’t see it.

We’re already a frustratingly poor defensive rebounding team and Q is the closest we have on offense to playing above the rim.

This is even worse id AG and/or Marek leave with Q in this hypothetical

For sure he's a combo, but he's also a key reason we won the last 2 games. If he plays like that next year he and we can be very good no matter what Kadary does.

Buddy since the expectations on him will be through the roof.

Hopefully he gets off to a hot start every year hes been a much better player later on than early.

Rebounding is poor no matter who the personnel is and we will have Braswell/Benny. Just expect the rebounding to stink always. It's the zone, not the personnel.

Covid had a bit to do with that this year. And as I said, Joe G had it even worse.

Very frustrating hearing about the possibility of him leaving...Really hope he stays! This board has literally been begging to have someone like him run the show at pg for a few years now...would suck to finally have one and poof hes gone after a year. Let's hope we can convince him to stick it out! Will be even harder trying to attract a top transfer guard. One will not come to Syracuse to sit behind Joe...just won't happen unless its a guy that's not a star but is a decent player looking for a role on a high major program. This is where I hope we look at bringing in someone like Kidtrell Blocker or another incoming freshman. Ehh whatever, just going to enjoy the ride and whatever happens happens! Let's continue this run and positive momentum and the staff will figure it out.

That’s why I think he’s so valuable in this team’s current and future success though. We typically suck at rebounding, but he’s all but a consistent double double including 3 on the offensive end. We don’t know how Benny’s going to look at the college level until he’s here, and Robert’s been awesome but I don’t know if he’s physical enough to bang for boards like Q and even Marek sometimes do

Joe is absolutely a piece of these 2 wins and he is absolutely a vital part of this team moving forward. But with the increase to Kadary's minutes, he doesn't have to handle the PG duties like he did earlier this year and last. To ask him to go back to running the point for 36 MPG like he did last year is a recipe for disaster.

Dasher, where would you see Justin Powell fitting into the equation for us?

Covid had a bit to do with that this year. And as I said, Joe G had it even worse.

Yeah its hard to judge the regular season looking back when the entire team got it and the only one who wasn't affected was the 76 year old coach.

Did woody get COVID? Was that the reason he got dropped from the lineup? Seemed that after the buffalo pause that is when he was no longer playing.
