Most important players next year

When has our best player ever transferred?
if this news was to be correct he would be transferring right?

In general though It is less transfers and more players leaving early in recent years. Seems like we have a hard time having guys stay more then 1-2 yrs.

Wasn’t the thought process from woodys camp that he was two and done? I don’t understand how he ever expect that to happen, especially at Syracuse. He was clearly behind a minimum of two wings.

Leaving early and declaring before they get here are our heartbreaks.

For sure he's a combo, but he's also a key reason we won the last 2 games. If he plays like that next year he and we can be very good no matter what Kadary does.
We lose to West Virginia if Joe doesn’t get pulled.

here’s a thought not based on anything except a wild idea that came to me this morning. Would Howard Washington return?
I had thought the same thing.Maybe b-ball isn’t a priority any longer, but that could be a good thing if he was to accept a backup role without any hurt feelings.

Love this thread, has all time potential depending on saturday
I agree with your thought but is about the most depressing thread I have tried to read through in a few years. I keep reading, hoping to learn it is an early April Fool's joke or maybe just someone is misquoted. We should all be loving this week celebrating the Sweet Sixteen and here we are hitting ourselves over the head! Lets Go Orange!!

No one, mostly you, knows who will be here next year. Having said that, none of these player moves have anything to do with each other. These kids will make the moves that are right for them.

i respect your opinion and inside knowledge; i will say though, the one thing that would probably keep him here is, it would seem like if he had a really good year, he could become a lottery pick; he seems slotted to start at pg next year; It is probably in his best interests to stay logically; therefore, i think kadary likely is here next year.

I'm not sure kadray will be back. And I don't think playing time will be the reason he leaves if he does. And Buddy is far more important than Kadray. Buddy is the reason we are still alive. Buddy is a star. We will have a very good team next year.
Kadray not being back is BS! Unless you support this with some information, don't say anything. And I don't want to hear about calling out 'insider information'.

I hope, hope, hope you are right. And I haven't said that he is 100% gone. I made the mistake of repeating what I heard. Honest, I wish I hadn't. the person who told me this, 100% rock solid, didn't say he thought it was for sure. Just that he might leave and that pt would have little to do with it. i got the feeling that this wasn't the college experience that he hoped for. But of course, it wasn't for anyone this year. I repeated the story that I wanted to leave Syracuse No one other than my family would have cared, unlike Kadray) but my late mother, wouldn't allow it. one of the best things ever to happen to me. She knew what was best for her son. I hope someone is there to talk to Kadray if he needs that.

thats how i took your post, weve had disagreements before but you always have solid info and i dont get the lynch mob on here from ppl who dont like what they here, can see why it turns ppl off from posting info.

I don't know if you were here when I posted that Hopkins was coach in waiting before it was made public. You would have thought I was calling for the murder of motherhood. Three weeks later, Gross made it public.

Not to beat a dead horse but what college experience did he expect in the middle of a pandemic?

yeah, I made it up. And it's great that you feel free to speak for the board.

Hey Oakland -
Back when I was a noob poster here, I made the mistake of questioning some intel Dasher shared w the board.

He was right. I was wrong.

Oakland - you could learn from my mistake.

Not all info shared is going to be rosy and warm and fuzzy.
That’s life.

It’s not Dasher’s (or anybody’s) job to be 100% relentlessly positive propaganda for the program.

ive been here awhile (pre carmelo anthony awhile), i dont recall all the specifics, but you let me know quade wasnt coming here when everyone else said he was, i know that was 11 hour change but you had the info there, you and jake may be the only ones left i trust, used to be a bunch, unfortunately not any longer

I appreciate you sharing what you know regarding the team and in this instance Kadary, even if it's not good news. It adds perspective and just gives us more incentive to focus on this weekend and cheer for our guys. I hate seeing good posters leave/stop posting on this board that have connections to the program.

In one way Oakland is right. I wish I hadn't posted it. For one thing, it wasn't 100% solid gold. Hell, the info could have been old. Any of us would have looked at this differently 3 weeks ago. I only asked about it after I heard what Blackwell said. Believe me, that wasn't the answer I wanted to hear.

I mean if I were an incoming freshman on the Cuse basketball team I know the one thing that I would be looking forward to most once I got on campus and seeing how that one thing can’t be done without close contact I’m sure players have been asked to refrain when possible

So yeah I could see how the experience could fail to meet expectations in a couple of ways

Man it gets depressing when we constantly lose good young talent to either the draft (which i never fault a player for leaving early if they think they have a better opportunity in a professional league) or transfers, but this one would really hurt.

As much as we still have Joe, I just don’t think he has the athleticism to ever be an elite ACC level guard. To me that means that no matter how much of a super star buddy is or becomes this team will be severely hampered and not be able to take that next step.

With Kadary I think we are legit top 25 all of next season, without him we are on the bubble yet again.
