This a troll job by somebody. An epic one in that. It isn't happening. It literally makes zero sense. 69 years old and a DC at Akron isn't getting the Syracuse job.

Even if I wouldn't care for Bowden atleast that would make some sense. Amato literally makes no sense. He is one year younger than Jim Boeheim. We aren't hiring a 69 year old HC.

Kaiser has a better chance to switch from Giants Blue to Patriots Blue than Amato being introduced as HC.

It is a funny troll job and after the fanbase revolt to Chris Ash maybe we deserve it but it isn't happening.
 
Terry sent Chuck to see if their is any reason to parley. Hire Bowden. No more problems with ACC refs. Him , Tommy and his dad lean hard on their recruiting connections for the Bowden families chance to get back on top , and at all places , the heart of Yankeedom.

Serious question.. If a new HC is hired and signed, but it has not been announced, can he begin recruiting? I'd think the school wouldn't want the new HC to start doing so until a formal announcement, but I'm not sure what the NCAA rules are, or if they exist. I would assume it's irrelevant, because you'd expect a new HC to recruit his staff first, but just wanted to ask those that may be more informed.

If it is Dino, no way he's started recruiting yet. He's preparing for a conference championship game. I doubt he's got much of his attention on anything else between now and Friday.

I understand that. He hasn't finished his pre-bowl game season work yet, so I would think you're 100% correct in that. To clarify what I meant.. let's hypothetical that it is Dino and that he signs Sunday. Wouldn't be crazy to think a press conference would happen Monday or Tuesday. If it's Tuesday, can he begin recruiting Monday?

If it is Dino he should want it announced Saturday. Press conference and talking with current players on Sunday. Recruiting and hiring assistants starts Monday. Recruiting first because I think he only has another week.
 
look, this year will be a clusterflook of SS recruits, Dino's BG guys who he feels can play here, some guys who he targeted but got better offers but now he can throw 'Syracuse' at them...and late signees.

once he signs he should do whatever the he wants. dragging his sorry arse back up to Syracuse just so you all can watch a streamed speech and him take 15 questions on that monday is ridiculous imo.

hes got bigger things to worry about. the team, his staff etc.

let him do a conference call and then do a live one on the 14th.

He can start making those calls once things are "done" and before the official introduction.
He can continue to make those calls from his new office in Syracuse just as easily as he can from his house in Bowling Green.

it doesnt have to work that way jurrie.

the Yankees sign the biggest and best FA's or a new manager and the presser is a few weeks or a month later...and this is NYC.

hell that crappy team up in new england just spent a kings fortune ruining their team for a pitcher who cant win in october and doomed their fate for the next century...and they havnt had a presser yet.

i think the CNYers can get along just fine knowing that a new guy is in and can wait for that presser.

But there's no real reason for it not to.

Get the staffing started and go through the recruiting targets over the weekend.
Presser on Monday at 10:00 and head out by 1:00.
A grueling, and hopefully fruitful, week ahead.
