My Take

Oh the passion of TOS.

After Spock says "Total, complete, absolute annihilation", Kirk looks off into space and says "The complete destruction of EVERYTHING - EVERYWHERE!"

Brutal, Tom, but unfortunately dead on.

To me it looks like PC is our version of UConn's Thebeet and that is probably stretching it. And yes its very uncharacteristic of JB to allow such an extended "teaching moment".

Fortunately we have still have time to improve before ACC competition although I'm not looking forward to playing Wiscy Tues on their court and having to face likes of beast pair Hayes and Hap; could get very ugly.
thabeet? lord jesus we should all make a penance to the goods in hopes that chukwu could be as good of a college player as thabeet.

Serious question, and I keep asking it, what did chukwu do in the offseason? How did he look at providence?

Well he only played 9.9 minutes per game. That placed him 9th on the roster in terms of minutes played. So what does that tell you? Should tell you not to expect too much too quickly.

Exactly what Fab Melo played in his first year here, which led me to hope that Chukwu could have a similar impact, with a year off to work on his body and game. Not happening so far. I think he could become a big-time player for us in the three season we've got him for, but he's far from that now.

Excellent summary of what happened last Saturday. Appeared to me to be a "perfect storm" game against the Orange. Nearly anything that could go wrong exploded in our face. Questionable call on FH, TR disappearing act, several "deer in the headlights" moments on half court offense, missed free throws, only 14 baskets in 40 minutes, etc. Tonight will be a huge indicator of where this season could be headed. A repeat of Saturday's performance or better lack of performance will be an early sign of a long frustrating season. A loss tonight is OK as long as the team demonstrates improvements on both the offensive and defensive end. Stop the turnovers, finish around the basket and most of all get over the "WOW - first time here attitude".
Lets Go Orange.

He's doing a little better than his frosh year at Providence. I expected him to be a bit more refined on the defensive end. He's got the skill, but he's all over the place in terms of positioning and overreactions.
