Was the gun used in the shooting legally registered? If not, not sure how he didn’t commit some crime, if not being an accessory to murder…
And wouldn't that detail normally come out soon after the arrest? Not 6 weeks after?

the only way to get rich is to buy low and sell high. not vice versa.

Long twos are stupid, no matter who is taking them.

Even our all-time leading scorer, Lawrence Moten? Some guys just aren't dead-eyes from the arc.

And if it was, then it’s just another day in Alabama. This is a completely different culture folks. Guns are expected to be kept available. And I’m not talking black culture. Southern culture.

Oats should have just said his hands were tied since there are no charges and left if at that.

The fact that he claimed he needed the gun because he felt threatened is mind boggling. You're an athlete for a revenue generating team. He could make a call to campus security and they'd have gone out of their way to escort him home.

The Tuscaloosa police chief told Al.com that Miller isn’t facing charges because “there’s nothing we could charge him with according to the law.”
I'm no law talking guy, but based on what's being reported, I can't fathom how Miller can't be charged with something.

Or even thrown off the team for conduct. Wheelhouse!

Ahhhhh, Mike Waters throwing haymakers while always throwing puff pieces around where he reports.
Hmm quite a stretch to get any equivalence considering a murder was involved.

Or big city culture

How’s it a stretch? He’s not breaking news he’s just making comments while the town he works in he does reports nothing but puff pieces while the program is has declined for years.

If he hasn’t already I’m sure we’ll hear about how great our new commit is.

To follow up on my point, I’m not defending Oats or Alabama, I’m just pointing out how awful the resident PS/Syracuse.com reporters are.

How does this not come crashing down. This is a different version- but very much a Baylor redux and akin to New Mexico State.

Not going to go conspiracy theory here but this is starting to smell like Oats or others knew a lot more...
Nobody can convince be otherwise that both NMSU's season would still be going if they didn't realize Greg Heiar was a terrible hire on the court and that this situation at Bama isn't handled differently if they aren't having their best season ever. There are plenty of places all over the country where college sports trump just about everything else.

It is straight out of a book like "Scoreboard, Baby"

Of course they do.

But Miller wasn't there when the shooting happened. And he might go top 3 they have a reason to protect him.

LOLOLOL at the people who insisted Nate would want to stay there forever and would never think of jumping after this year. Hes out 100%.

Miller is going to get away with doing something very stupid. He wasn't part of the murder at all though. If he wasn't a star player and was in a different state he could be looking at the end of his career.

I believe there is a legal term "accessory".
