Navy to BE in 2015

The BE promised Navy they could play all home games on Saturdays. Every team created equal in the ol' BE. LOL. What a cluster that conference is. It's death is not too far off.

Agree! It's OVER for the Big East. And the people who don't see it are fooling themselves. You got Boise and San Diego St in the Big East...HELLO! That's a good thing? SMU and Houston? WHAT! Oh and don't forget that power in UCF and now Navy! I mean for christ sakes that sucks! Mix them in with UCONN, Rutgers, L'ville, Cincy, and USF...watch out!

It's a conference with No charm. No rivalry's. I mean are they going to hold a Big East championship game at the Meadowlands and have Boise vs Houston playing in it? With about 2o people in attendance? It's going to get a garbage TV deal and they will be playing games on Tues, Wed, and Friday nights with nobody watching nationwide.

And once the BCS ends its current system and jumps to the new one, The Big East Football conference is over! It has nothing. It will make zero money in bowls (compared to other conferences.) It's a secondary conference like the Big Sky!

Those schools are the "little yellow bus" of college sports. Any fan who sits through those teams and enjoys those games, god bless.

If you want to go to NYC For the big east basketball tournament and sit through a day of SMU-Cincinnati at noon. With the 2pm tip of Rutgers-USF. The 7pm of Houston-UCF. Followed up with Depaul-Louisville. GOOD LUCK selling tickets to that.

And those Friday night football games of USF vs SMU ought to make even die hard fans flip to Lifetime movies or the Oprah network.

The more you talk the more you dig deeper...Boise and SDSU just left the MWC. The MWC is having to merge with CUSA to reform as ummm a bigger C-USA. As Scooch sez...it'll (BE) be #6. It'll still command more $$$ per team than the Mega C-USA.

I'm just glad we got out...the BE won't be bad (FB wise albeit lacking some brand appeal) but it loses a lot on the BB front. It'll be UConn and a few Catholics. Louisville and maybe Cincy will still be there (assuming the B12 doesn't expand). If the BE resigns with ESPN...expect them to lose some BB TV slots.

What do the divisions look like if the BE doesn't lose anyone else?

That alignment makes it pretty clear that Louisville will be on their way out next. The Big XII would actually be less travel.
