NBA 2018-2019

Iggy is going to retire. I think Livingston does too. They both look done. There’s ways to get creative. My main point is Kyrie going to the Nets is just ridiculous and will change everything. They won’t be any better than this years Celtics.
If Iggy leaves 16 million dollars on the table for that team then he truly is a great guy.
Warriors would have cap space next offseason with Green and Iggy off the books that is assuming they don’t resign Green.
The Warriors will be a favorite next year but Durant is so huge for them.
I mean when they had Harrison Barnes taking those shots over Durant they did lose to the Cavs.

Toronto is just a really well put together team. Obviously we don’t know how this goes if KD was healthy but let’s not act like Kawhi’s been 100% and for all the talk of Siakam, they have a similar guy (in terms of a rising prospect) OG that’s been out.

Their defense is phenomenal. Offensively they have a top 3 player in the world surrounded by 6 guys that are all capable of going 20+ on any given night.

That Scotia Bank crowd (inside & outside) on Monday Night is going to be insane.

I don’t want this to end, if for the memes/gifs alone.

Also, I need more Kawhi stories (real or fake). “Apple Time” had me dying.

So many questions:

1.Who would bring a bag of apples to a dinner?
2. Who eats 12 apples in a sitting? I doubt I've ever eaten 12 apples in the span of a week
3. Knife and fork?

I really wonder why Kawhi hated Pop?
If he resigns with Toronto and I would say the odds are he will if they win he would have given up 50 million dollars just to get away from Pop.

There's a lot that doesn't make sense.

Kawhi has been great, but the difference in this series is the Raptors role players are completely outplaying the Warriors role players and that includes Draymond. Warriors players not including Steph and Klay have been terrible. Green, Livingston, Iguodala, Jerekbo, Cook and Cousins are 57-148 for the series.

Compare that to what Toronto is getting out of Gasol, Danny Green, FVV, and Lowry there is the difference in the series.

Gasol and Lowry played out of their minds game 3.
Steph burned himself out game 3 and was gassed game 4.

Livingston went MIA game 3 and 4. Green has been garbage as you said.
Toronto is deeper and losing Durant hurt the Warriors.
I said this before all 4 Eastern semifinal teams would have beaten Portland in a playoff best of 7 series.

The Nuggets the better roster to take advantage of a Durant less Warrior team than Portland.
Jokic and Millsap could have done more than the Portland front line.
Even if Durant comes back tonight I don’t see him being anywhere close to good enough to help them unless he shoots perimeter shots and is on fire.
Durant’s ISO game won’t be hard to stop as he won’t be fully explosive.

Toronto's role players are playing a lot better than they did vs Philly or early in the Milwaukee series. I don't think it's as simple as saying the top 4 teams in the east would beat Golden State without Durant. Kawhi beat Philly on his own. I could see Curry doing the same to them or Boston had they played. Now Danny Green and FVV did nothing for a good portion of the semis and ecf. Now Kawhi has help.

I didn’t mean all 4 East teams would beat Durant less Golden State I meant Portland.
The media made a big deal out of the Warriors sans Durant sweeping Portland.
Portland took advantage of a bracket that was open for them to get to the WCF.
I meant Milwaukee/Boston/Philadelphia/ Toronto would have beat the Blazers thus the Warriors got lucky who they played after they lost Durant.
The Durant loss was bigger than it was stated as he was their cheat code without Durant the Warriors weren’t invincible.

FWIW Portland was:
1-1 against Toronto
1-1 against Milwauke
2-0 against both Boston and Philly this year.

I know that and had that discussion when they played those teams matters in the regular season.
Back to backs on the West Coast and they played Boston in Boston when they had turmoil.
I think in a playoff series those teams beat them.

I think too by the time Portland got to their series with Golden State they were mentally exhausted and in a "just happy to be here" mode. They had the emotional series with OKC with the Dame/CJ versus Russ/George story line. Then they had that 7 game battle with Denver that I think took a lot out of them physically and mentally.

They had a double digit second half lead on Golden State in pretty much every game in the series then Golden State would go on a big run and Portland would pretty much just roll over. Golden State knew they were better and would let Portand almost just punch themselves tired each game then just tee off on them.

People shouldn't forget that Kawhi has a bit of a bad leg still, too.
He has been out of this world in the last couple playoff rounds.

Everybody is beat up this time of year.

Very Lakers-Pistons 2004 where every single Laker not named Shaq or Kobe(and he was subpar by his standards) did absolutely nothing.

Payton had dead legs and was terrible. Malone was hurt and terrible. Fisher stunk. Fox was washed. George stunk. Kareem Rush stunk. Everyone else had always stunk.

Those 3 peat teams had guys like Horry, Fox, Fisher, Shaw, Rice, Harper, etc come through.

Much like those 04 Lakers, this version of the Warriors is not deep.

VanVleet was unplayable for a while and now he's unstoppable. Amazing
