NBA 2018-2019

I think they’ve gotten worse tbh but we’ll see.

I was adding in TJ Warren too. I like Brogdon/Oladipo/Lamb backcourt. Have Warren, Sabonis, Turner among others up front. Thats a solid 3-4seed I think. Especially if Kawhi bounces. Might actually be battling Milwaukee or Philly for the 1 seed with the way they overachieve.

Tobias 5/180 to Philly. Yikes. At least he's young enough to take up 5 years without breaking down.

Take this for what it’s worth since it’s not close to a Woj or Shams:

Holy Chit make him sell the team Silver.
My god this is SO BAD.
I’m torn. If we weren’t so desperate, I wouldn’t hate this because I’m iffy on offering KD the max too.

However. We are sooooo DESPERATE. We’re literally out in LA working on deals for friggin Julius Randle and, maybe, Quinn Cook/Reggie Bullock.

Salt in the wound is KD and Kyrie going to the Nets.

We’ve only convinced two stars to come here since the Ewing years... Melo and Amare. That’s it. Beggars can’t be choosers.

The Rozier contract is worst contract that isn’t even a question. The Bogdanovic deal is stupid as well.

$18m for a guy that scored 18ppg on 50/42/80? Its not ideal but its fine and not even close to worst signings. Shooting doesn't devalue.

What's left for the Lakers if no Kawhi? Beverly and Boogie plus another solid rotation piece? Go all in for Russell?

Private jet access for Bron and AD to Germany for Kobe treatments to make sure they don’t get hurt or age.

It’s D’Angelo Russell and probably Danny Green.

Swapping out Collison, Bogdanovic, and Thaddeus for Brogdon, Warren, and Lamb...eh.

Bogdanovic probably the best player from that group and Thad is good in his own right too.

I’m personally not super high on Brogdon being the PG either but we’ll see. Depends on what other moves the other teams in the East make.

Jazz fans seem to be pretty stoked.

Gobert ensures their defense will be formidable.

Swapping Rubio and Favors for Conley and Bogdanovic makes the offense A LOT better.

Word is the next move is to find a starting PF (Jamychal Green?) using the room exception so they can move Ingles to 6th man, and have a closing 5 of Conley/Mitchell/Ingles/Bogie/Gobert.

I mean... on paper that's really interesting.

I don’t blame fans for liking it. He is a good player. I just hate the contract.
Stupid contracts are just part of FA.

The Knicks were offering KD pre Achilles injury. They had to adjust. I still take the chance, but I absolutely understand their apprehension. Bob Myers and the Warriors training staff changed the course of the NBA for the next four years.

Holy Knicks. 3 years at that amount. Holy christ. Could've had him at 2 for 25 last year.

What do you hate about it though? Overpay?

I think he matches REALLY well with what the Jazz need and is worth the $. Underrated part of the deal is it sounds like he took low enough that the Jazz can keep some of the end of bench guys they like that over the course of the season give them decent minutes like Neto and Niang.

I mean, the Jazz have a dominant defensive force at the 5 and they've never realistically attempted a 4 out 1 in offense. Now they're going to put shooters all around the guy that set an NBA record for dunks last season. Donovan Mitchell at 36% from 3 now has the lowest 3pt % of their closing lineup. That's pretty cool.
