He's still 2 years away from that so I think it would be a 2+1 that he'd want if that's the aim. That way he can opt out after 2 and sign as a 10 year vet or if god forbid something happened to him and his value tanked, he could opt in.

The balance of the league is better than any point since 1999 it Kawhi goes to Toronto or Clippers.
If he goes to the Lakers then they become new Warriors.
